From their premium Timberland seam-sealed, waterproof leather uppers with comfortable padded collars to their heat-, oil-, slip-, and abrasion-resistant rubber lug outsoles for enhanced traction, these soft-toe boots are ready to get to work. We also added electrical hazard protection and Anti-Fatigue Technology polyurethane footbeds for all-day shock absorption and energy return, plus breathable, moisture-wicking linings made of ReBOTL fabric containing at least 50% recycled plastic. Modeled from Timberland's classic style work boot, the Direct Attach has it all and then some. With all of its comfort and hardworking technology, you would think this rugged waterproof, leather boot had a mind of its own.

Let me add a prelude to this review with the fact that I'm a mountain of a man, 6'6", 320 lbs, with size 15 wide feet. To say finding comfortable footwear is a struggle is an understatement. Let me also note that I don't write reviews. This might be my first ever. But I'm so in love with these boots I just want to tell the world on the top of my lungs. These boots are like walking on pillows on the moon. I honestly had no idea anything you put on your feet could possibly be this cozy. I look forward to leaving the house just to have an excuse to put them on. Being a Minnesotan in the winter, I can trudge through snowbanks while my feel remain in their padded, comfortable, stylish cozy confines -- safe and warm. They make you feel indestructible from ankle down. Like you're ready to march across Antarctica. Even in the harshest conditions your feet remain forever in a bed of warm clouds. I want everyone to experience the joy that these boots bring. Rarely in life does one get the opportunity to become as elated as whence sliding on these masterfully crafted boots. Worth every penny and I cannot express enough how much these boots have improved my quality of life. One of the best decisions of my life, probably top 5, was purchasing these boots and you truly haven't experienced unparalleled levels of joy until you do. Putting these boots on feels like you're sent to another dimension just like this one with the only difference being the fact that your feet are in utter and eternal bliss! Shipping was good, and my item arrived on time. I ordered these boots for winter in New York and Toronto, and am pleased with my purchase overall. My favorite thing about the boots is that there is insulation as well as anti-fatigue technology that has helped me for long walks in the cold. I would say that the boots are able to provide warmth up to approximately 35 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about 2 degrees Celsius, if one is wearing relatively warm boot-length socks; I felt cold around my toes with anything below 35 degrees Fahrenheit. I was somewhat disappointed with the water resistance of the boots. While water does not penetrate the boot when one steps into a puddle, water has definitely seeped through numerous times via the front of the boots when I wore them in light to heavy rain weather. In terms of comfort, I find that the boots are very comfortable and follow the flow of one's natural walking motions unlike Red Wing boots which I find to be too stiff. I've worn the boots for a number of walks that lasted for miles, and never felt discomfort. Again, however, I would highly recommend wearing them with boot-length socks. With regular socks, irritation will be felt along the skin of calves, and even with boot-length socks, slight irritation can still be felt along the calves when the boots are worn for extended amounts of time (over 3 hours). Construct-wise, the boots appear to be durable though I can imagine the constant pulling on the top of the boots when putting them on could lead to tearing, and over time, the bottom of the boots have the potential to deteriorate, though that's to be anticipated with any pair of boots. Look-wise, I laced mine all the way to the top with my pants tugged above the top of the boots and I'm quite happy with the way they fit, there's good contrast between my pants and the boots which give the appearance of being narrow when laced all the way up. If one is purchasing the boots for heightening, then I can confirm that the boots will give you a solid inch and a half of additional height without any added cushions. Fit-wise, I'd say the boots are pretty true to size. I typically get shoes that are 10.5 or 11 because I have wider feet. I went to Marshall's to try these boots on before my purchase and felt that 10.5 was just right. ... show more

These are nice boots. Normally a size 9 but in these I bought an 8 and fit exactly how I wanted them too. Well made and the soles underneath are the nubs. Not the flat design.
