I know I’m giving a five star pretty fast but these boots have already WOWED me holy god putting these boots on for the first time feels great little stiff on the ankle support but I expect that to be a break in point to loosen them up I’ve been stuck in another boot brand (starts with A) comfort zone for years now great boots but in my industrial trade I don’t get but 6 to 8 months out of them and that’s keeping up with cleaning an oiling them and I feel like I don’t get my moneys worth out of them. I love the comfort of them and really a short break in point so it scares me to try another boot brand cause some of the other brands will tear your feet up til break in point is reached but putting these Timberland Pro Boondock’s on for the first time just WOW!!! well I know I have to run them through the real test now wearing them to work today for the first time after wearing them around the house and cleaning and oiling them I’ll have to do a month or so follow up review so far I’m feeling really good about them the comfort meets my standards and that’s saying something. ... show more

Now, I've only had this pair for a couple of weeks. Will post another update later this year. First impressions, the boots are well-made and feel like I can go through a brick wall with only minor scratches. No issues walking through deep snow and mud, and I specifically wanted the protection on the bottom as well as the toe. You do pay a price for this level of security and protection, in the form of weight. If you're not used to work boots, these will be heavier than a regular pair; if on the other hand you tried other work boot brands, these are right in line. I’ve bought the 8 inch boondocks every 2-3 years since 2017. This time around, I decided to get the insulated version. The waterproofing on the leather is the best I’ve had on a boot out of box. The original model I always had to snow seal or silicone waterproof so the leather didn’t absorb moisture. Comfort is exactly what you would expect with the anti fatigue line. Comfortable right out of the box and only gets better. The boot I did receive wasn’t exactly as the picture showed however as they do not come with the fire and ice soles which I’m mostly ok with as the original soles last a lot longer although they have less traction on ice and hard pack snow. I am leaving for stars due to the inconsistency between what is pictured and what is received. The right boot is also moderately tighter on the top of the foot than the left which I have not experienced with my other timberland pro boondocks. I’m hoping it breaks in and becomes a non issue however. ... show more

No break in time required. I'm in commercial masonry and need a durable and comfortable boot. I generally don't get more than a year out of any boot I buy due to the nature of my trade and the abuse that I put them through. That being said, I did get 2 years out of my last pair of timberland's. They were completely thrashed by that time but that's not putting any blame on quality of these boots. Man, I work in the oils field by far comfortable boots never need to be broken in, if anyone knows oilfield schedule 2 weeks on 2 off I ordered me a pair of pro rig masters came in with meta guard I used for my last week of work when on days off came back it was tight I was like okay well let me order these boondocks this time well I ordered it and it came in on Friday night and it’s Tuesday now and my right boot shivered up to the picture I provided I first though okay 1 boot okay fine but 2 boots it was tighten up while I was wearing them I felt it putting pressure on my toes so bad I had to take them off and and wore my heydudes for the rest of my 12.5 day so that’s 2 pair of boots in the past 1weeks and 3 days total meaning the boondocks only lasted 3 days ... show more

Excellent Quality, built to last. Great for People who work in the building trades, I work in an Industrial setting and safety boots are required, these boots have a composite toe for protection, Electrical and oil protection in the soles. Pretty much water proof although never submerged them. I get a minimum 12,000 steps a day and hardly ever feel discomfort. ... show more
