I was scared to purchase this, I read through tons of reviews. The first time we put it up, we were a little bit confused but after the first time, we are now pros and it’s super easy. I never leave reviews, but I’m writing this 4+ hours into constant moderate-heavy rain in the North Cascades, STILL DRY and pretty impressed. After you figure it out the first time, this tent is easy to set up and doesn’t take very long. Also worth noting my 6’7” husband can stand inside with more than enough room. Fits my 2020 Forester even with a ladder on the lift gate. The seal around the back of the car isn’t waterproof, but there is no water getting into my car or into the tent. The part of the tent that goes under the vehicle has a mesh part along the whole width, so any water that leaks in there will drain out, which I thought was pretty smart engineering. Plenty of room inside and very comfortable, queen air mattress fits no problem. I also love the windows, the clip in the middle of the roof, and the loops on all four corners to string lights inside. 10/10 recommend! ... show more

I wanted to like this tent, I really did, but it is not economical for what it is. PROs: Very good ground stakes, spacious, lots of air flow, and easy to assemble with 3 people CONs: Not enough tie downs, poor build quality, instructions are awful, unless you have 2-3 people to assemble don’t bother trying, PLEASE color code the SUV straps, rain fly is useless , DOES NOT fit new Honda Pilot. I took this on 1 trip with my kids and it will be getting returned. It took 2 adults to get this together in about 30 minutes. The tent itself it very tall which makes it difficult to get the rainfly on. But aside from that, there is no logo to show where the front of the fly is, so you have to look for the pole channel. Once you get the fly on, you hook it to the bottom of the poles, on one of the corners, the stitching tore… first use… it tore. I had to makeshift a new knot to make it work. Once the tent is upright and the fly is on, the tie lines are okay, the stakes are wonderful but 4 tie lines is not enough for the size of this tent. Just a minor breeze made the stability of this questionable. We put this on a 2025 pilot and it does not fit well, there are noticeable gaps along the top of the car, which bugs and water can get through. Also, why are the buckles not color coded, or at least something to identify where they go? The comfort is fine it’s just not worth the hassle of putting it up. Lastly, one thing on the rainfly, it barely covers the roof. If rain is straight down, you will be fine, but if it’s windy, rain WILL get in. It is not waterproof. Honestly, please don’t buy this. You’re better off just getting bug netting for the back of your car, and then pitching a tent. This is a great concept, just very poorly executed. ... show more

This is so easy to set up with 2 people! It also works well with a Volkswagen. We will definitely have to modify a few things but it will definitely work! We can't wait to take it to Woodstock!

The media could not be loaded. I have a tent for 12 but fam member only 4 and have a minivan so decided to try this tent. It just took an hour for me to figure out the installation but once done it was easy to build. In conclusion my family love this tent. It is high so that tall ppl (I am 6' 2") can fully stand up and connection is well designed, which kiddos always jump up and down from the car. Just one misdesign (or my mistake to install correctly) is that the connection side of the tent kinda floats due to the hatchback height of the car. The hatchback prevents the tent floor from being flat on the ground. Except that it is quite strong and sturdy. The included stakes are also very sturdy so no need to purchase an additional one. No raining so I could not check the water resistance but it would be good per other reviews. Hope you enjoy your camping with the tent. ... show more

I really wanted to love this tent but it is not for a full size SUV. I have a 4th gen 4Runner with a 3 inch lift. Making my lift gate the same height as my wife’s full size sequoia. When I set the tent up and put my lift gate up it pulled the tent off the ground making the legs closes to the vehicle just hanging there. If you have a small SUV this tent would be great but it shouldn’t say full size SUV ... show more
