    • Looks neat, but lacking where it counts.
The media could not be loaded. Purchased through Tilta directly. This cage seemed solid at first, but after a few weeks of use, it's shortcomings became glaringly obvious. Unlike other offerings from SmallRig, this cage is secured using only a single 1/4 20 mounting screw. The wide tolerances around the perimeter of the cage means the camera has very little positive contact, allowing the body to pivot one or two degrees on either side. This makes it completely useless for flying on a gimbal or attaching rails for a follow focus/matte box. Additionally, the loose connection makes me concerned about strain placed on the camera's HDMI port when used with the included HDMI Cable Clamp. I like Tilta and own many of their products, but I feel like this was rushed to market and/or designed around some other camera body. If you're looking for a7S III cages, you're better off with SmallRig. In addition to the 1/4 20 mounting point, their cages are also secure using a threaded screw through the camera's strap eyelet, making for a rock solid fit. ... show more
