First I'll start with, there was nothing wrong with my tilta follow focus. It did the job. But since I got the GH7 and my first cinema lens I upgraded to the Tilta Nano 2. It's super smooth, quiet, very responsive and most of all... it looks cool!

I was very doubtful of buying this product in the beginning. Many reviews say it's fidgety and unreliable. I've used it in several works so far and it's great. I love to pull focus with the wheel attached to the handle. Or in a shoulder rig with the focus handle. The motors are very strong, they work even with my old Helios 44 which is very stiff, I advise keeping them in the lower settings of torque. On the other hand, it is well-built, quality is top-notch, but it does feel a little bit delicate, I wouldn't want to drop it EVER. I wonder why people criticize this nice fiz system, my only guess is they come from Prestons and Arri systems which are huge and can take a beating. I really like this one, even the type c cable My only complaint is that it came without the circular screen protectors which I've seen in some youtube reviews

I had this for 2-3 weeks, spent 8-10 hours total learning the system and practicing and dialing in the settings and connectivity. It worked flawlessly for 1 day, then continued with sporadic issues where both motors would never truly work reliably at the same time. They were both adequately powered through the provided cables and titla batteries such as the side PD handle. It just never became a reliable tool I could count on and what else would you want from this but reliability.

I really love working with this focus pull. I used it on multiple shoots lately, and it was great to operate the camera and then to have a focus puller to assist. It also works with the Tilta Khronos iPhone kit with the Blackmagic app. With the right handle, it locks right in above the handle so you have easy access. Good quality product and easy to use.

I like the feel of it, but would not connect to the motor. Then when you try to switch the lights to the focus color, it seems to want to switch colors as you calibrate it. I wish mine would have worked. I have a shoot next weekend, this would have been fun to use.

Ordered the Nano 2 out of curiosity and to use it on a shoot for my B Cam, but ended up really enjoying it. The motors are very powerful, much more than the original Nano, and we had stuff lenses so it helped. I liked that I could map the lenses too, which is a great feature for the price. The it was very flexible too, being usb C powerable, so we were able to use it on a gimbal with a bigger camera with an NPF battery plate. The overall foot print is super small, but has a lot of good improvements over the old Gen and even the nucleus M. Good stuff Tilta!
