Ordered the Nano 2 out of curiosity and to use it on a shoot for my B Cam, but ended up really enjoying it. The motors are very powerful, much more than the original Nano, and we had stuff lenses so it helped. I liked that I could map the lenses too, which is a great feature for the price. The it was very flexible too, being usb C powerable, so we were able to use it on a gimbal with a bigger camera with an NPF battery plate. The overall foot print is super small, but has a lot of good improvements over the old Gen and even the nucleus M. Good stuff Tilta! ... show more

I was very doubtful of buying this product in the beginning. Many reviews say it's fidgety and unreliable. I've used it in several works so far and it's great. I love to pull focus with the wheel attached to the handle. Or in a shoulder rig with the focus handle. The motors are very strong, they work even with my old Helios 44 which is very stiff, I advise keeping them in the lower settings of torque. On the other hand, it is well-built, quality is top-notch, but it does feel a little bit delicate, I wouldn't want to drop it EVER. I wonder why people criticize this nice fiz system, my only guess is they come from Prestons and Arri systems which are huge and can take a beating. I really like this one, even the type c cable My only complaint is that it came without the circular screen protectors which I've seen in some youtube reviews ... show more

This product is really bad on a fundamental level. It works very well in a very limited sense. But if you try to add another motor, update the firmware, re-sync to other hand units or do anything more than the most basic functionality advertised you will run into huge issues even if you have sophisticated IT and photography staff at your disposal. The product is designed just well enough to appear amazing at first, but the slightest issue will cause great pain that is basically insurmountable. ... show more

i have pretty heavy lens and it have manual zoom, tried nucleus 1 and smallrig wireless follow focus almost none of them could move my lens, it will stall. Nucleus 2 just moves it smoothly. A bit picky to set up compared to nucleus 1. Overall very happy with purchase 5/5!

First I'll start with, there was nothing wrong with my tilta follow focus. It did the job. But since I got the GH7 and my first cinema lens I upgraded to the Tilta Nano 2. It's super smooth, quiet, very responsive and most of all... it looks cool!

Kit came with defective USB cable. Very frustrating to set up a brand new item thinking everything else was wrong when it turned out to be the basic cable they provided. Replaced it with another one we had and everything worked. After hearing great things about Tilta I'm now wondering about how good their quality control actually is if a simple USB cable test is overlooked. ... show more
