  • I love it
Model: WLC-T05 TX
I was very doubtful of buying this product in the beginning. Many reviews say it's fidgety and unreliable. I've used it in several works so far and it's great. I love to pull focus with the wheel attached to the handle. Or in a shoulder rig with the focus handle. The motors are very strong, they work even with my old Helios 44 which is very stiff, I advise keeping them in the lower settings of torque. On the other hand, it is well-built, quality is top-notch, but it does feel a little bit delicate, I wouldn't want to drop it EVER. I wonder why people criticize this nice fiz system, my only guess is they come from Prestons and Arri systems which are huge and can take a beating. I really like this one, even the type c cable My only complaint is that it came without the circular screen protectors which I've seen in some youtube reviews ... show more

  • Great product with a very nice display, thoughtful design and strong motor
Model: WLC-T05 TX
It has a lot of functions, but also a pretty long user guide. After a few emails with the Tilta support I got the custom-made video to show me the upgrade issue and my Sony FX3 camera control questions. To resolve the 2% upgrade issue, to enter the upgrade mode, you have to hold the motor button and then plug in the cable to port 1, once you see a green light blinking, then you could upgrade. They said they would make the upgrade more friendly in the next firmware. For connecting to fx3 initially I thought I could just do it by Bluetooth or wifi, after I read the user guide. I figured that I will have to use a USB-C PD cable from the motor to the camera. I wish Tilta could make a video just talk about this in the near future. Overall, I am very happy with this investment. ... show more

  • Lightweight, affordable , and great!
Model: WLC-T05 TX
For the record, I already have a Nucleus M kit. I bought this as a back up set for my kit. But man this thing is really good. Great torque, very easy to connect, and the usb-c connection just coming in handy. (It’s not also easy to get D-Tap connection for Nucleus M like when you’re using a gimbal)

  • The motor goes into blinking red lights every 4 minutes - faulty motor??
Model: WLC-T05 TX
Tried Connecting this system to my tamaron 70-180 mm lens.... it connects to the dial just fine, however, if i use the rocker to adjust the zoom, the motor vibrates and starts blinking a red light, the only way to recover is to power down the motor and power it up again... there is zero indications what is happening and why the motor is going into this state.. the documentation doesnt help either to help narrow this down... this is a great concept, but needs a TON more training and documentation to help users use this. ... show more

  • Not sure it's worth it
Model: Power Handle Kit
Let me start off by saying I buy a lot of Titla gear. If I could do this again, however, I might go a different way. I really needed to control both zoom and focus remotely as I do a lot of self-shooting. Being able to start/stop recording on just about every camera in recent years is a nice bonus (more on that in a bit). But... All of this could be done without the control handle. So change one that I'd make is to buy the basic kit. It was nice to get two motors with this kit, so it about breaks even. Second, I might go with some other model/brand, one without a screen. The screen is a distraction, and completely unnecessary, much like the handle. It would be more worth the extra cost if the firmware was complete, but it's not. There are plenty of unfinished features and menus that do nothing. "Download" for instance, looks like it's there to download lens profiles. It doesn't actually download anything. If you tap into the manual focus calibration function, it says "Set minimum focus on lens" followed by "Set infinite focus on lens". Okay, fine. But now go to manually calibrate either the iris or zoom, and it says "Set minimum focus on lens," but that's not really what it wants you to do. The included gear straps are next to useless, they get caught on the rails or in wires or handle and they look unprofessional, so you should replace those straight away. If the firmware is out of date or the controller and motor are a little bit mismatched, it will behave really strangely. You can remotely trigger the recording via USB, but that ties up your camera's USB port. The list goes on. In short, it's expensive, I don't have much confidence in it for shooting professionally, and I'm not sure it's entirely worth it. ... show more

  • Surprisingly Powerful and Good for Price
Model: WLC-T05 TX
Ordered the Nano 2 out of curiosity and to use it on a shoot for my B Cam, but ended up really enjoying it. The motors are very powerful, much more than the original Nano, and we had stuff lenses so it helped. I liked that I could map the lenses too, which is a great feature for the price. The it was very flexible too, being usb C powerable, so we were able to use it on a gimbal with a bigger camera with an NPF battery plate. The overall foot print is super small, but has a lot of good improvements over the old Gen and even the nucleus M. Good stuff Tilta! ... show more

  • Makes filming with manual lenses fun
Model: WLC-T05 TX
This has made using my manual lenses much more fun on my FX3. The motors are powerful enough to pull focus on some of the tougher lenses I own and with another motor for zooming I’ve been able to get some nice shots that are difficult to keep steady handheld.
