Tidy Cats is my preferred clumping cat litter after trying many brands over the years. This jug container is a good size for a household with one or two cats. And it is recyclable or easy to repurpose - I use these in the winter for ice melter products! The litter is uniform round little pellets which the cats never object to using. I have tried other litters that look more like gravel with pointy edges and the cats are not as keen about using that. Tidy Cats makes wet waste into firm clumps and also makes solid waste dry and firm so both are easy to remove. Another plus is no matter what type of litter box you are pouring it into , there is little to no dust when you put it in even if you pour from waist height! The fragrance is not overly strong and it does a good job at keeping odors down. Overall I strongly recommend this litter. This USED to be a good litter now it is not. #1 DUSTY wear a N95 mask when scooping or pouring #2 POOR CLUMPING leaving little bits of waste you can not scoop #3 TRACKS EVERYWHERE not only does it track, it drops off whenever it dries on the cats paws. NOT TIDY in any way, should change name to Messy Cat *Now with more angry owners! I am a tightwad, yet I HAD to throw away the UNused litter...it was that bad. hope this helps. ... show more

I'm writing this review before I have even gotten the litter. Tidy Cats IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO. I live in a smallish condo and have 1 cat. I get this one because it's for multiple cars and I wanted the extra odor protection. It clumps perfectly and there is no dust or perfumes!!! I have always gotten tidy cats and I made the mistake of buying arm and hammer. I wasn't paying attention, tired and the box looked like tidy cats. Right away I noticed a difference. Didn't realize I had made the mistake until like a week later. I was wondering why it had a perfumey scent, dusty and didn't clump much. Thought tidy had changed their ingredients. but......this particular one doesn't eliminate odor. It does clump very well and what I don't like is that it leaves my cats nostrils black from spelling the litter. I am constantly cleaning her nose. but, it does the trick when you need litter is not available which is the same brand I use but its the order eliminator & light weight clump. Not only is this a good odor trapping litter but being able to buy it on Fresh means not having to haul super heavy stuff from the car across an apartment complex. The only complaint I have is that these are kinda ball shaped so the cats tend to track them all over the place. But altogether less gross litter than other less absorbent brans, so I just vacuum them up. ... show more

    • Very poor quality and sands go everywhere of the house
It’s the worst cat litter I’ve purchased. The sands/dusts are very small and they travel everywhere entire of the house. I have to do a lot of works to clean the carpet multiple times a day. The litter doesn’t last long and I have to refill it almost everyday. It doesn't have a good odor control, it gets stinky quickly. Bought this to use for one cat. Terrible!! The urine sank to the bottom of the litter box. It does not really clump at all. A zillion little pieces in the litter box and no way to clean it other than to dump the entire thing. Would not buy again. Do not recommend.

Dusty.... never had allergies in my life & all of a sudden every time my cat cuddles me I’m a sniffly mess. (&Ok once I’m at work.) never thought I’d say but cannot wait to bath my cat. Disappointed. Great deal if I wasn’t.
