Description

TIDI AquaGuard Sheets provide a moisture barrier to keep small surgical sites, wounds, dressings, PICC lines, and tattoos dry when showering. These disposable, single-use sheets are hypoallergenic, made without latex, and contain no DEHP. A specially designed adhesive is used to protect the area of concern during showers and allow the sheet to be gently removed afterward. No more improvised, do-it-yourself solutions! These self- adhesive sheets are made from waterproof material and provide a convenient PICC line shower cover, wound cover for showering, and tattoo cover for showering! They are the ideal size for use with small surgical sites, pediatrics, peripheral IVs, and transdermal patches. The actual area of coverage is 5" x 5.5" (12.5 cm x 14 cm). Please measure the site/dressing to make sure it fits within the actual area of coverage. For proper application, refer to the instructions for use (IFU) shipped with product. Note that the use of proper pleating technique ensures good adhesion and allows for desired range of movement during showering. For proper adhesion, the skin must be dry and clear from oils and lotions. Each sheet is designed for one-time use in the shower. Works OK but the adhesive is too weak. I would have given it a 5 star if nit for the adhesive. Tip: Applies well when the area is oil lotion free and when your area is most flat when applying.

Bought these for my father n law’s port instead of tegaderm bc the center isn’t sticky and wouldn’t stick to the port tubes. They don’t stay stuck. He doesn’t have hair on his chest either. So I would imagine anyone with a hairy chest would have even more of an issue. And they are expensive for daily use. He does sit in a shower chair with a spray hose so he wasn’t even under direct spray of the water. With in a minute it was coming off and he hadn’t even used any soap yet. Really disappointed for the price. It’s like the cheap plastic bandaids that never stick for more than 5 minutes. I will have to use real tegaderm around the edge of it for this to work successfully. Which I could have done with tegaderm and seranwrap. ... show more

    • Great protection after surgery

I had shoulder surgery and these pads protected my stitches so well and kept them dry. There is no sticky residue when you take them off either. I would purchase these again

As my review title hints these things are a complete ripoff moneywise. We're charged hospital prices just like we're a hospital, which we are not. 7 units for ten bucks and change? Ridiculous. That's the NASA price. Having thus commented, in my experience for my needs anyway, I find that these over expensive TIDI AquaGuard Sheet – 5” x 5” are best for my needs and keeps my site the most dry. It beats out a similar CVS and Walmart brand at the end of the shower. Just a crying shame the price gives us a shower before the shower. Worst for pocketbook...best for healthsake. ... show more

Aquaguard sheets work really well at protecting your surgical wound from getting wet. Instructions were really easy to follow and these sheets stick very well. Really don't need to degrease your skin beforehand unless your skin is very oily. As it does have an adhesive strip all the way around the edge, please make sure NOT to use if you're sensitive to adhesives. ... show more

    • Not sticky enough

The sheets stick well until the water hits them, then if they are not perfectly smooth on the knee area (which is very hard to do), they become loose and water can get in them fairly easily. Maybe there's a trick to getting them to stay stuck to the skin?

I returned this after trying the first one. I bought these to cover my incisions after abdominal surgery. It unfortunately was very difficult to apply and did not create even close to a watertight seal. I will admit, this could very well be user error, but it was super inconvenient and I had a reaction to the adhesive. I will not buy this again. But the return was very easy. ... show more
