I received it last night and my 1st impression for the 15 Velocity, was that it looked darker-more like the color of the border around the ad. The next day, I applied it and opened the curtain. It looks better in the light- like the ad photo-lighter pinkish metallic fushia. I'm not a big mirror watcher, but I found myself going back to see my lips many times, thinking: "Oh, pretty, pretty!" The metallic shine was there from morning to night so, it lasts. My photo was taken at night with only computer light so it's darker and more towards fushia. The tube is 5 star!--gold with a magnet so you feel it's closed and it is shiny enough for you to see your lips without heading out to find a mirror. If this had been sent in a color I could actually wear instead of the one I ordered, I’d give it 10 stars. As it is, it’s very pretty in my makeup drawer for me to look at and wish it were different for the next 40 years. If that’s what you’re going for, order away.

I've worn lip stains for years. I'm returning to lipsticks. This isn't as drying as many paint style lipsticks. It doesn't peel, and with liner, it hasn't bled--a real issue once you're over 45 years old. It does feel moisturizing, not like glosses or moisture sticks, but it's pretty good. I ate an apple with it and it stayed on. I wanted a deep pink, and it's really more of a peach. I faintly added a mauve red to it to make it the color I want.
