Used these after a surgery for the scars! You have to wait until initial healing is done before you can put them over scars but this just helps keep healing going with a clean and moist environment. I feel like my scarring was minimized. They can get a little gooey around the edges but I had minimal irritation and I have very sensitive skin. More difficult to use in the summer if you are sweaty! But you can just change them more often.

Have used this tape for 2 weeks and have already noticed an improvement with sensitivity on my scar. The scar is smoother and not as raised as it was. It was very sensitive to my pants moving against it and now it isnt. I wear the tape 24 hrs a day and every day. I will use it for another 3 weeks. The scar shown is 1 yr old. You need to build up to the length of time you wear the tape. It stays on well, doesn't roll off while sleeping or wearing clothing ( I use on my ankle). I have also used Cica Care , which is a silicone gel patch ( much like this tape) but it doesn't stay on as well. Also, the Cica Care will move or come off when you sleep ( depending where you wear it). Cica Care is better suited for your face/neck area where there is less friction. Anyway, I'm pleased with this tape.

The tape is supposed to stay in place for 7-8 hours. However, this particular tape won’t last more than an hour. I used it on my face area and behind ears. As a result, I can’t determine if it’s effective or not. It’s quite inconvenient to apply it every hour, so I’ve decided to use the scar cream more effectively.

This tape is to be used only on the scar tissue, and it is very helpful. Do not try to cover beyond the scar tissue or it will pull too much on the skin after you shower. I can shower up to 3 times and it stay in place but does shrink a bit. I can even lotion over it without it falling over after. It definitely has a very strong hold and I am happy that is has some aloe very properties for softness and flexibility.
