This product packaging still pollutes. The soap itself does NOT have the "Fragrance Free" label that truly protects people from harmful chemical fragrances despite it's claim to be gentle. For me, it was a compromise. I want a laundry soap that truly gets the stink and stains out. This does. I am pleased to have a choice of packaging that pollutes less. This does. The spout works great. I'm eager for the washer sheets to become better at getting clothes clean. At that point, I'll switch over to them. I hope it is soon!     • Love the scent because there isn't any and love the environmentally sensitive packaging.
Why is this just now a thing? It makes so much sense to replace the plastic containers with this cardboard box. There is still a plastic liner, but the overall plastic use is seriously diminished. Packaging aside, all my wife and I use is Tide detergent. It does a great job and the "Free and Gentle" is truly quite scent free. Both of us have trouble breathing when we use any scented detergent. With Free and Gentle, there is no lingering scent to cause stuffy noses and our clothes are clean. ... show more

Honest review here. I have been using this for years and love the Tide free and clear detergent. It's less harmful and comes in this nice box that means we won't be wasting plastic in a big bottle to sit at the botton of the ocean... so that makes me double happy! ECo-box is the way to go! The eco box does have one slight issue, but I can get over it. The spout spills the liquid detergent out very quickly so you have to be careful when first using it. Once you work your way thru some of the box the spill rate lessens and is easier. Worth it for the environment. This does not irritate my or my childrens skin...which I love. It has no scent and it's clear to yellowish liquid. WE love it and will continue to use it! ... show more

I like that it’s fairly clean, not scented, and lasts a while. Trying to reduce daily toxin exposure, but not break the bank. Now I notice if my husband washes something of mine in regular detergent-my skin feels awful almost immediately. For what I wash, it works fine. I will say I spend some days working at a barn and those clothes still smell like the barn even after being washed. Still on the hunt for a more natural detergent that doesn’t do that, but seems to be an issue with many. ... show more

I am already a fan and user of Tide Free & Gentle, as I have used other products and get hives. But tried the Eco-Box and love it. Very easy to dispense and the turn spout works with no drips, unlike the press spouts I have encountered in the past. I hang the box over the dryer, and this is more efficient than the risers and cheaper than buying the riser box. One box I received would not pour, but I found I had not pulled out the blue spout far enough. Easy fix. ... show more

There is a very helpful video in the listing that shows how to open up the packaging but does not have instructions on how to open up packaging for the cup to keep on top of packaging. I figured it out between reading the instructions several times and watching the video. But you do have to read the instructions before tearing into the packaging otherwise you’ll get frustrated. Good idea, why pay for heavy duty plastic only to throw it out anyway, so it reduces the overall costs for the consumer and there’s less in the land fill. SAME GREAT DETERGENT TIDE FREE. We love this! It can flow a bit quickly at the beginning as some reviewers have noted, but knowing that going in makes it easy to avoid problems. And since the cup doesn’t go upside down like it does on the regular bottles, you will need to clean that out after a bit but really these are nothing issues. I have tried about everything for over 6 years and this is the stuff! I love tide does an amazing job on cleaning. And the free and gentle aka the make is sure I’ve had with other brands—— my daughter have eczema, mollousum (2 + years) the flare ups from on extreme to the next. This detergent is so far what I’ve found that has worked the best. It’s not over priced-she is 6 and you don’t need much, and it gets ride of dirt stains etc!
