This is my first jeweler's loupe, and it works great. I've used it to spot imperfections in Watch dials and bezels and even looked at Watch movements with the loupe. It's easy to use, and I like the different magnifications it offers I have one Watch that has a very hard-to-see logo etched into the crystal, but with this loupe, it is as clear as day. I like that it's aluminum, but the LED lights are the bomb! The glass is clear and is great for guys that need reading glasses. I use this one to look in my gold pan and it's amazing how much gold there is hiding in there that you can't see with just your eyes. It's invaluable for inspecting my sluice railings. This works great but you’ve REALLY got to get UP ON whatever you’re wanting to look at. There is a light for both views, which IS COOL, BUT it would be helpful if it were on the OPPOSITE side, as we kept BLINDING OURSELVES. We DO recommend it, as a nice starter.
