  • Quality made
Size: 3" Earth Auger Bit
I liked the sturdiness of this bit. I like how it fit my gasoline powered auger. I used it to dig approx. 100 holes for Hazelnut seedlings. Great product.

  • Great Thunder Bay 3" Auger
Size: 3" Earth Auger Bit
Product works great. It allows quick and easier start in hard clay soil whereby I can then change over to a larger auger bit to open the hole. Arrived on time. Happy with this product.

  • Well built and works as advertised
I bought this to help be get pilot holes for fence posts through a rocky tree rooted area that the 8" bit that came with my thunder bay auger just couldn't get through. The 4" worked like a charm. It turn a process that was taking days into process that took hours... I also bought the 6" bit and it works too. These are sturdy we'll made bits for a well made auger... ... show more

  • Very few adapters fit this bit be prepared
Size: 3" Earth Auger Bit
My thunder bay bit is still shiny and new because I bought a second bit from another manufacturer when none of the adapters I bought would fit this bit. The pin while very strong is too thick to fit the adapter bits. Not having a working drill press at my disposal at the moment I was forced to rely on the market availability instead of just drilling one of the cheap ones out myself. So it's not a bad bit it's built very tough and for the money if they mated it with an adapter in the box that fit their pin it would be a perfect tool for those looking for an off grid small scale hole drilling rig that can cut a small hole in just seconds with almost no effort. If I manufactured this bit, I'd certainly be pairing this with an adapter to make this useful. Unfortunately because it is so hard to mate this to an adapter I have to recommend a pass on this tool to anyone who is not prepared to alter an existing cheap auger drill adapter. If you choose to buy it and don't have a drill bit there is an adapter out there but unfortunately I bought 7 of them to find the right one and I am not sure which one is the right one to buy. It was not the cheap one though I can tell you. It was one of the more expensive adapters. Somewhere in the $35 range I believe, there were several that look alike in that range from different brands. If you're that guy who has a bench and drill press at his disposal and you want to cut yourself a bigger hole in a cheap adapter go for it. This bit is designed to cut small holes in hard pack clay and gravel. This is one of 2 bits I found that are capable and available. It's a very capable bit if you can mate it and it's probably the better of the two available especially with different tip options. Again if you're not willing to alter a hardened steel auger adapter don't buy this you'll be stuck returning it or owning a bright shiny red garage ornament. Though it is very nice looking with that shiny red paint, it certainly brings an aire of sophistication to my garage floor. Time saver, no absolutely not, spent like 2 weeks trying to mate this tool. Ease of use 100% no sir. Built tough as hell though if you can actually drill a hole with it. ... show more

Size: 2" Earth Auger Bit
Broke after one use. Also the pin isn't a pin and needs a special machine screw 🤔
