My thumb was “popping” (almost as if it was out of joint). Every time it popped, it was accompanied with pain. I was using heavy tape to support it, and it was working fine, but it was rather cumbersome. When I received this brace, my initial thought was that it was rather flimsy. But when I put it on…amazingly, both the popping and the pain went away. I know I need to see a doctor for the long-term fix, but I am thrilled with this brace in the interim.

I ordered the wrong size; but in trying this on, I can tell it will offer compression and light support which is ideal for my needs. I don’t have severe pain, this is more to prevent further injury and to rest the thumb joint while I work. It is very lightweight and comfortable, not bulky in any way. I will have no problem typing with it on and will be able to wear it all day. 4/5 stars because I’m not sure the quality will make for long time wear; but for the price it’s not bad. This is definitely not for anyone who has a lot of pain or needs extreme support.

I was anxious to see if this really helped the pain in my hand and thumb and I am happy to say, it does! After wearing this for only about 5 days there is a noticeable difference. Very worthwhile purchase until I can have the root of the problem addressed. This has definitely helped with pain and movement.

I have severe osteoarthritis in my left hand, and it's just starting to bother my right hand. My left hand needs solid stability; no movement in the joint. This brace is not strong enough for that. However, it is perfect for my right hand. I'm right handed, so I need a brace that gives my thumb some support, but still allows me to have dexterity. I'm also tired of wearing bulky, ugly braces that inhibit my motion. The Push brace from my orthopaedist is uncomfortable because the hard plastic cuts into my hand, and I have to remove it to type or work (I'm a glass artist.) This brace is soft and comfortable and I can keep using my hand while wearing it, but I feel relief in the joint because there's just enough support on the outside edge to relieve the pain and stress. It fits either hand.
