This is definitely the best bike rack I have ever owned. It took me a few minutes to decipher the instructions but eventually I figure it out. It's very easy to load bikes and remove for storage. I love the fact that it is fairly light yet extremely durable. The strap design that allows you to tilt bikes for trunk access is genius. I can't think of a single negative. It may be a bit expensive but it's just as good as the racks that cost $1K or more.

Ease of use, stability-- great choice!

This bike rack is the third or fourth one we’ve purchased and I have to say, it’s the best. We tried another brand before this, but it was so heavy and had to be assembled. We sent it back. (and it didn’t fit our hitch receiver). With this one, there was no assembly - out of the box it was ready to go. Fairly lightweight, and a breeze to install the bikes. We did have to watch the video to see how to work it; not that it’s complicated, but different from our last rack. And, yes, it was a bit pricier than others, but the quality, locking mechanism and stability made it totally worthwhile. I wish we had gotten this one sooner!!

Meets all my requirements. Locks for hitch receiver and bikes. Platform style means there are no annoyances transporting bikes with step-through frames. Bikes load in and out very quickly and feel secure even on bumpy roads and at higher speeds. The rack is well-designed with a premium build quality that is silent and stable. Tilts for hatchback access. Folds up for compact storage.

Hands down - THE best bike rack I’ve owned. One person can set up the rack and bike in 5 mins. Rack came ready to go. Can easily be stored and light weight (when it comes to bike racks). Worth every penny.

Well designed lightweight 2 position bike rack!

Thule Outpace 2 bike hitch rack is very compact, easy to install, folds up for easy storage in the trunk of the car, and holds 2 bikes nicely and securely. The biggest downside is that the center positioned release strap interferes with the car’s backup camera, even while driving with no bikes on the rack, when the rack is in the up position. Otherwise, this is a great 2 position lightweight bike rack for bikes that don’t need a ramp. I use it on a 2022 Honda Accord Sport. Very happy with it.

Solid and sexy!

The great: This thing is durable and looks fantastic on the back of my Honda Passport Trailsport Elite! It just works. Great fit in the hitch receiver. Zero noise while driving. The good: It's pretty easy to load up my gravel bike on this. The flip-out wheel troughs feel sturdy and click into place solidly. The folding hinge is going to last longer than my car, I think. For what it is, and the build quality being solid, the price is perfect. The meh: The rubber "strap" system to lock/unlock the hinge is a bit fiddly and can pop out of the assembly somewhat. It's not a deal breaker though. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars, and since it's helped start so many interesting conversations with other riders, I'm gonna lean to 5 stars. Good job, Thule!

Perfect for an easily removable rack!

Got this for the wife’s Highlander, along with a hitch extension, as she has one of those hidden hitches. Hard to believe how easy it is to attach and load, AND to remove and store. Plus it tilts down WITH the bikes on it. They really did think of everything. Wasn’t the cheapest, but FAR from the most expensive. For convenience and function, it delivers value. Highly recommend.

Weak point.

Thule engineering is great, minus a small section of plastic behind the locking mechanism on the vertical support arms. This weak point in the design caused my product to arrive damaged. The last photo is the second support arm which was not damaged, however you can see the white area showing there is some tension happening there as well.
