Product works good at dampening string vibration sounds on recurve. Also gives your bow that old timey look. Will be buying more to add on all my recurves.

    • Spend the extra money and get better ones
The leather strips were ripped and one of them broke up into 3 pieces. I mean they work, but started coming off after only a few shots, that may be user effort but I did put similar ones on my other bow and they have been on there for at least 1000 shots. I ended up taking them off and putting on slightly more expensive wool balls, they look better and I am having no problems with them after hundreds of shots. ... show more

These do quiten down the string some but for me the look is what i was after and you can't get a better look for a traditional style bow

Right out of the package one of them had the backing coming off. The other one looked like it’s been cut. Poor QA.

    • Falls apart when you shoot.
What can I say? I installed both on my bowstring, went out and shot at some targets, and every time I fired bits of fur would fly about. About 45 minutes of shooting later there was nothing left of them. They did make it quieter though while they lasted. FYI - It's a recurve bow with a 35 lb draw.
