I love these boots, I’m an iron worker and these are the best boots to climb steel with. I’m in them 15+ hours a day and the comfort is unmatched. The quality is outstanding. This is my second pair in 5 years, I will not wear another boot, I’ve tried. For the price you can’t beat it, tax and all I spent about $318. Divide that by 5 years and that’s a lot cheaper than buying a pair of whatever ever year for $185+.

True to size. Quality softened leather. Quality craftsmanship. These are the most comfortable work boots I’ve ever put on but these are also the most expensive work boots I’ve ever purchased! I’m a truck driver and will be in these all day so comfort is non-negotiable. These shoes check off everything I need in a safety boot. Slip resistant, safety toe and waterproof. These boots are the best money can buy. skipped buying a new pair last year on a Black Friday sale but made sure to buy this year. This is the 4th pair of Thorogood boots, my 3rd pair of 1957 series. The boot in the pic is 3 yrs old never oiled or polished worked the original sole off of them had them locally re-soled still going. I have tried other models but I returned to the 1957 waterproof, insulated they’re warm in the winter, cool in the summer (Florida) and a great riding boot on my motorcycle. High quality Union made boot well worth the money. Not sure why the other folks had issues I am quite sure Thorogood would stand by their product if in fact there was a flaw in the Manufacturing. To many pros to complain about my tag has a stain on it etc…. Highly recommend to purchase. Fits comfortably great looking and durable American made boot.

I just bought these and wanted to see how the steel toe model fit. I have been wearing soft 8 in. moc toes for years with great success and results with no complaints. So I have to say these are true to size and are very comfortable. I only wear wool boot socks and others say they fit tighter with the WP membrane but I can’t disagree more. My reason for 4 stars is Amazon only sells factory seconds because I have received and returned several pairs due to numerous defects in quality and appearance. I again noticed the boots were mismatched with the left toe being twisted at the last which made it fit tight. From the top view the stitching was off but not a deal breaker. And again these are just work boots, but all I have ever received were “B” stock items and it does sting some knowing your paying full price so maybe the pricing should reflect this. This is not a knock against the boot maker since I have ordered these boots from outside amazon and have had zero issues but I believe Thorogood are the most comfortable boots around just be careful buying them from Amazon. Good luck out there and keep kicking a shovel with these awesome boots! I attempted to upload images but it did not work, sorry about that.

Second pair of these boots for my boyfriend, he is a millwright. The last pair lasted him 4 years, which is amazing! Longest any pair of boots has lasted for him. He literally wore the soles through from wearing them every day. Great pair of boots!

Let me start out by saying I'm a Union Sheet Metal Worker and I'm proud to own a pair of these. They're union made in the US with some global parts. I've always heard a lot of good things about Thorogoods, and decided to give them a shot, so I ordered these. They delivered fast, a day earlier than expected. They're like walking on a cloud from the first time you lace them up. They fit true to your size, I ordered a 10 and they fit like my shoes(where as with Double H brand, they'd be more like a 10.5). They break in fast and they're very comfortable, and alleviated some of my foot pain and fatigue from the old boots. They're waterproofing is great, especially how the tongue has webbing to the upper so water doesn't leak in there. They take damage well, scratches and scrapes don't peel off the leather or break stitching. That being said, when I hit a deer on the way home from work, and the bike went to a slide with my foot pinned between the bike and the road, I'm glad I had them on. I slid about 30 - 40 ft with my Yamaha 1300 pinning my foot to pavement and it did very little real damage to them. The sole and moc toe was scraped flat in places and there's one hole at the edge of the comp toe, but they stayed on and I don't have a scratch on my ankle or foot. I plan on keeping these put up for a memory, but I'm planning on ordering another pair soon. Thorogoods for life.
