I've so far bought x8 Gen3 plugs. They've been reliable. I'm very happy with how easy they are to set up with Home Assistant and Zigbee. I'm used to older IoT products which use WiFi and require a janky app, such as Govee or Phillips Hue. For these plugs, I click "Add Device" in Home Assistant and the plug is automatically set up with HA. Definitely going to keep using Zigbee. These aren't the cheapest plugs you can find, but the last time I bought smart plugs was with Govee, I didn't like how they forced you to use their app and you had few integration options. I'm now replacing those. For what I want to do, Third Reality is proving both flexible and reliable, so to me the price is reasonable. One my plugs was mostly working, it would turn on/off, and show voltage, but wouldn't show power. For that plug Third Reality sent me a replacement, which I appreciate. I have no complaints, a couple photos of my Home Assistant dashboard are shown. ... show more

Solid value to extend Zigbee network. Home Assistant compatible.

I bought these due to setting up my Home Assistant device and installing some Zigbee devices. Before I installed these, several of my Zigbee devices had a poor connection due to the hub being in our basement. These worked perfectly. No more connection issues. Zigbee much more stable. Some of them I have dedicated to specific devices. Others are simply there for the network. My go-to ZigBee plugs

I have hubitat and these work great with the plugin. They would work as generic ZigBee too. I bought several packs, various generations and I keep going back to these. Plant lights, Christmas lights, great for automated tasks. ZigBee so much better than WiFi for having a smart home life.

They really gather quite a bit of information. If you use the right collecting software you can tell that to refresh the current settings. I've used them together information about my television refrigerator and networking area usage. Helping me to tie down all my energy usages.

Leaves Matter in the dust

Easy, easy setup. I was using Matter over WiFi with a complicated network structure. The matter devices would randomly drop from the network and were very difficult to re-add. The Third Reality Zigbee devices are a tremendous upgrade. The mesh network is solid and stays connected. Controlling these through home assistant is great . I replaced a dozen light bulbs and several plugs. Start to finish was 45 minutes. All devices synced on first try and have proven very reliable. Beats A WiFi Plug!

These ThirdReality Gen3 Smart Plugs work great with Home Assistant and Zigbee2MQQT integration. I’ve only used WiFi Smsrt Plugs until I got these. The pairing step goes slower than WiFi, but it is stable and finishes using only my PC running Home Assistant. WiFi devices required me to stay nearby with my phone, and switch my phone to slow WiFi - not these - they pair directly with Home Assistant, making the process much simpler. Since these Gen3 Zigbee Smart Plugs run on their own Mesh network, I can put them further away than I ever could with a WiFi smart plug. I like these! ... show more
