  • Great product rejuvenates dead but not abused long time discharged batteries.
Size: DeSulfater 64 OZ
Great product used it on my fully discharged 8v golf cart batteries. The Batteries were completely discharged and did not have enough voltage to charge on the golf cart charger. I started by charging them with a commercial charger three 8volt batteries at a time as I had a 24 volt commercial charger. Once they reached a partial charge I let them rest and added desulfator. It goes in red and makes the battery acid opaque, then I put them back on charge. The charger quickly brought them to 80% then to the absorption phase of charging and finally recondition charging all of which was a very short duration for each step. Once charged the battery acid was clear again and I could again see the battery plates. Without adding this product I could not get the batteries to fully charge. I’m convinced this stuff made a real difference. ... show more

  • Worked on a 10 month old Walmart battery
Size: Bottle (12 OZ)
This product is probably designed to add BEFORE your battery starts to die, I’ve heard through YouTube that battery manufacturers aren’t putting a good concentration of electrolyte in the battery cases anymore. It’s true, all six cells measured very low density, and the car actually had an electrical glitch from being discharged so low, that the ECU reset itself. Silly me didn’t read the directions, and I added 2 ounces of this product to each battery cell. My original battery is rated at 500 CCA, It was reading 315 CCA before adding the desulfator. I then put it on a standard charge for three or four hours at near 20A with a gradual drop to about an amp and a half. I load tested the battery, and measured 584 CCA. Went back out in the morning to check it again, and 562 CCA was the result after sitting for 8-10 hours. Cranked faster than ever before, and it seems to have worked out well for me so far. Reminds us that we take our batteries for granted, and when we neglect them, there’s nothing that can cure a lack of maintenance. I’ll update the post if I find anything problematic as time goes on. ... show more

  • Thought it was working, but it didn't
Size: Bottle (12 OZ)
I bought this for some deep cycle solar batteries that I wanted to bring back to life, but found they were too old and gone before I tried it. The other day, my Chevy Silverado 3500 pick up suddenly was dragging and wouldn't start, so I decided this was the time to try out this product. I pulled both batteries (duramax diesel has two Interstate MT78's), put them on my charger and brought them back up to 14+ volts, then pulled an oz of acid out of each cell and added an ounce of this stuff, and charged them both again overnight. After that, I put them back in the truck, and not only did it fire up easily (to be expected after a full charge), but they maintained a high charge above 14v, per my dash gauge. I took it on a 30 minute drive on the highway to make sure they were getting a good charge. The truck started up each time I turned it off that day, and I was pretty happy to think I was going to avoid buying new batteries for awhile! But the next morning when I came out (25 degrees outside), the truck was back to dragging during ignition, and it would not start. I was really disappointed. Not only that it didn't work, but all the work that I did in pulling out the batteries, suctioning out the acid, putting them on the battery charger, putting them back in the truck, which is a pita. More that that, I was bothered that my $300+ Interstate batteries only made it 4 years, unlike all my previous ones which lasted between 6-8 years. Anyway, I ended up having to buy a new set of NAPA batteries for $340. I was really hopeful, but it just didn't work for me. How do I get a refund, now? ... show more

  • Worked partially
Size: Bottle (12 OZ)
Hi. I am running two 48-volt and one 12-volt bank of Trojan L16E batteries on a fully solar house. The 12-volt group was going bad. That's two 6-volt batteries in series. One of the batteries n the 12-volt group was a consistent about 4-volts after discharge overnight and the other would drop to just under 6-volts. Both batteries showed low electrolyte quality on a hydrometer with the worst battery showing one bad cell. I picked up a bottle of this to try and got it all installed. Its best to do if the batteries are low. I had to remove the 2 ounces of electrolyte from each cell. no big deal. I replaced those 2 ounces with the battery additive as directed. After two days of normal use and recharging the lower battery dropped to 2-volts on discharge while the other battery lost about 1-volt under its last discharge rate. This was due to the other battery dragging it down I figured. I took one of the older batteries out of one of the 48-volt banks and replaced to bad battery in the 12-volt bank. The 12-volt bank began to work perfectly with only normal drop during discharge. I had to replace the bad battery with a new one. I don't know if the fluid helped the one good battery in the 12-volt bank but the electrolyte in the battery does show an improvement. This could be from it getting a better charge and discharging less at night. So moral of the story is, I don't know if it helped or not. I do know that the bad battery got worse after its use. I have other batteries that may benefit from the fluid that are showing that the electrolyte is getting weak. So, I might try again on those batteries. It's just something to consider. ... show more
