🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Thermaltake PC case is greatly loved for its good cable management, ease of installation, room for high quantity of storage and general high quality, despite its budget-friendly price point. While reviewers appreciate the case's aesthetics, thanks to its amazing-looking glass, some of them have issues with the power indicator in contrast with the case light, and particularly the inconvenient placement of the power button. Another point of contention is the case's lack of USB-C support, which some users find outdated for a product in its time.

Pros

  • 👍 Good cable management.
  • 👏 Easy to install parts.
  • 💼 Room for ample storage.
  • 💵 High quality at a good price point.
  • 👌 Great design, including a clear glass side.

Cons

  • 👎 The red power indicator clashes with the blue case light aesthetics.
  • 🚫 Power button is inconveniently placed and easily bumped.
  • 🔌 Lack of USB-C support.
  • 💽 Certain users find the hard drive placements lacking.

Should I Buy It?

If you're searching for a PC case with a good price index that offers a good balance between aesthetics, functionality, and easy installation, this Thermaltake PC case will appeal to you. However, if you're sensitive about light aesthetics or if you need USB-C support, you might want to look elsewhere. Also consider your specific setup regarding the power button's positioning before making a decision.

  • Really nice SMALL case!
This review is for the model: H15/18 Micro ATX Overall Pros: -great airflow -great cable management -small yet very roomy on the inside I chose this case for my first PC build! Choosing the case was the toughest part of my build!!! I chose this one because: I don't have a lot of components, I'm using a smaller mATX board, and I specifically wanted a smaller, simple case to work with. And of course the price is great. My build is as follows: CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Motherboard: MSI - B450M BAZOOKA Micro ATX AM4 Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" SSD Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB GT OCV1 Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Monitor: Viewsonic VX2758 27" Curved 144Hz It arrived in excellent packaging with no damaged parts. Good instructions, with enough extra screws, plus an extra fan cable. Beginner tip: Before installing your mobo, make sure ALL of the riser screws are present, because I had to go back and add two that I missed. It only included 4 risers already screwed in, but I needed two more for my mobo. (And they include the 2 extra). Tip: Install the fans first! I installed two 140mm fans in the front, and an additional 120mm fan on the top. Airflow is great, and so far temps in the case average 30C and CPU is always under 40. Includes 2 magnetic dust panels, one for the top fan and one for the bottom panel for the PSU. As another reviewer has cautioned: if you install a 140mm top fan, it might bump into your motherboard, so probably best to stick with 120. The bottom of the case has about an inch of clearance, which makes good airflow for the power supply. The cable management is excellent, as you can see in the pictures. (Especially if you have a modular PSU). All the front panel connectors were bundled nicely together with really long wires. Plenty of spaces to fish wires through, and I had no headaches trying to tuck things away or connect everything. Opinions: I love the look of this case, inside and out. The PSU cover makes everything look clean and organized inside. I sorta wish the glass wasn't tinted so I could admire my PC parts more clearly, but admittedly it's more classy with a tint. The blue LED strip on the front is kind of tacky/pointless, but you can turn it off if you want. It's well made, too. Front panel was hard to pry off, (it's def snug and secure) but plastic inserts stayed in tact. Excellent case for the money, highly recommended to any new builder or someone looking for a smaller case with plenty of room on the inside. ... show more

  • Unbeatable value for first timers and pro's alike.
Pros: -Sturdy and solid! Punches way above its weight in terms of build quality. -PSU shroud helps immensely with cable management and overall aesthetics -Actual tempered glass panel -Above average airflow with plenty of room for fan installation Cons: -The front air intake could certainly use a filter as visible dust quickly begins to accumulate in this area -Dust filter down by the PSU exhaust is flimsy and is easily unseated Overall Review: As a first time builder I would certainly choose this case again for future builds. I'm amazed at how much value this product offers at such a competitive price point. Many of the features found on this case such as a PSU shroud, actual tempered glass, and maximum airflow are hallmarks of a much higher price point. Installation was a breeze and the finished product looks very aesthetically pleasing. If I could change anything about this case, I'd probably include rubber grommets to route cables from the rear. That would certainly enable a slightly cleaner look upfront. Also, I'd like space for an additional exhaust fan up at the top for slightly increased airflow to match intake or the possibility of 240mm AIO as a future upgrade. All in all, if you seek undisputed value for an amazing price point look. no. further. ... show more

  • Excellent for a Budget Build!
This PC case is a really great example of just how much you can really get for your money. The Thermaltake Versa H18 is one of the best mATX cases I've built in, the only other ones that I think top it are also from Thermaltake funny enough. The build pictured is an i3 10100f system using a b460 Gigabyte motherboard and an EVGA 1050ti, filled with DeepCool 120mm fans. Everything fits SO well into the case, lots of room behind the rear panel for cable management. The case easily accepts a full size ATX power supply with no real issues. Getting a modular or semi-modular PSU would definitely help with cable management, but I was able to fit a non modular EVGA power supply and all its cables under the PSU shelf with no real problems. Another really fantastic thing this case gets right is airflow, the mesh front cover works exceptionally well and isn't heavily layered, so the three 120mm fans in the front breathe very easily. The top and rear fan mounts work very well in an exhaust configuration, making for excellent static/positive pressure airflow. Overall, the case gets pretty much everything right for the price, the looks are nice (especially the blue accent LED in the front, very cool), it has a tempered glass side panel, and will likely fit any reasonably sized parts you decide to put into it. I highly recommend giving this case a try if you need something quality on a budget, it worked absolutely perfectly for my build, and I'm sure it would for yours as well. ... show more

  • Great budget case if you have realistic expectations
I just completed a micro-atx build using this case. I see a lot of negative reviews for this case, but I think alot of people maybe aren't paying attention to what they are buying. This is a solid budget case that has been around awhile, meaning no USB C built into the case. I have built a lot of PCs over the years and I can tell you this is a solid case for the price. I recently did a budget build for my Son, using the Cooler Master Masterbox Q300L. That case is about 10 bucks cheaper, but it's sucks to build in. This case is fairly easy to build in, as long as you plan ahead. This is a no frills case, but it's solidly constructed and when using a Micro-atx motherboard there is plenty of room for everything. Cable management is fine for a small form factor build. I used a partially modular PSU, so that there were not extra cables to deal with. I'm satisfied with this case, everything fits, and everything is working as expected. This case also has go airflow. I would definitely buy this case again for a Micro-atx build. ... show more
