I used the Thermaltake Versa H18 for my micro ATX gaming build, and it exceeded my expectations for the price. This review is for the model: H15/18 Micro ATX Overall Pros: -great airflow -great cable management -small yet very roomy on the inside I chose this case for my first PC build! Choosing the case was the toughest part of my build!!! I chose this one because: I don't have a lot of components, I'm using a smaller mATX board, and I specifically wanted a smaller, simple case to work with. And of course the price is great. My build is as follows: CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Motherboard: MSI - B450M BAZOOKA Micro ATX AM4 Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws 4 Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Storage: Samsung - 860 Evo 500 GB 2.5" SSD Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB GT OCV1 Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Monitor: Viewsonic VX2758 27" Curved 144Hz It arrived in excellent packaging with no damaged parts. Good instructions, with enough extra screws, plus an extra fan cable. Beginner tip: Before installing your mobo, make sure ALL of the riser screws are present, because I had to go back and add two that I missed. It only included 4 risers already screwed in, but I needed two more for my mobo. (And they include the 2 extra). Tip: Install the fans first! I installed two 140mm fans in the front, and an additional 120mm fan on the top. Airflow is great, and so far temps in the case average 30C and CPU is always under 40. Includes 2 magnetic dust panels, one for the top fan and one for the bottom panel for the PSU. As another reviewer has cautioned: if you install a 140mm top fan, it might bump into your motherboard, so probably best to stick with 120. The bottom of the case has about an inch of clearance, which makes good airflow for the power supply. The cable management is excellent, as you can see in the pictures. (Especially if you have a modular PSU). All the front panel connectors were bundled nicely together with really long wires. Plenty of spaces to fish wires through, and I had no headaches trying to tuck things away or connect everything. Opinions: I love the look of this case, inside and out. The PSU cover makes everything look clean and organized inside. I sorta wish the glass wasn't tinted so I could admire my PC parts more clearly, but admittedly it's more classy with a tint. The blue LED strip on the front is kind of tacky/pointless, but you can turn it off if you want. It's well made, too. Front panel was hard to pry off, (it's def snug and secure) but plastic inserts stayed in tact. Excellent case for the money, highly recommended to any new builder or someone looking for a smaller case with plenty of room on the inside. ... show more

This PC case is a really great example of just how much you can really get for your money. The Thermaltake Versa H18 is one of the best mATX cases I've built in, the only other ones that I think top it are also from Thermaltake funny enough. The build pictured is an i3 10100f system using a b460 Gigabyte motherboard and an EVGA 1050ti, filled with DeepCool 120mm fans. Everything fits SO well into the case, lots of room behind the rear panel for cable management. The case easily accepts a full size ATX power supply with no real issues. Getting a modular or semi-modular PSU would definitely help with cable management, but I was able to fit a non modular EVGA power supply and all its cables under the PSU shelf with no real problems. Another really fantastic thing this case gets right is airflow, the mesh front cover works exceptionally well and isn't heavily layered, so the three 120mm fans in the front breathe very easily. The top and rear fan mounts work very well in an exhaust configuration, making for excellent static/positive pressure airflow. Overall, the case gets pretty much everything right for the price, the looks are nice (especially the blue accent LED in the front, very cool), it has a tempered glass side panel, and will likely fit any reasonably sized parts you decide to put into it. I highly recommend giving this case a try if you need something quality on a budget, it worked absolutely perfectly for my build, and I'm sure it would for yours as well. ... show more

I want to like this case. It has good cable management, it's easy to work in, and it's a great price. I had no issues getting parts installed and the glass looks amazing, something you usually don't see at this price point. Unfortunately, there's 2 things that could be brushed off as minor inconveniences, but it's enough for me to knock off a star. First, the power indicator is red and the case light is blue. This was something I saw people talking about before I bought it, but since I was doing an anti-rgb build, I didn't care. But now that I have it, I hate the red button so much. Luckily, you can turn off the blue LED strip that runs along the front of the case. However, the red power LED is bright enough to ruin the look of a build, especially if you are going for a blue colored one. If you don't care that much about aesthetics, then it's not a major issue, but it is such an annoyance that I felt like bringing it up. Second and MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, it is wayyyyy too easy to accidentally push the power button. It isnt as much of an issue if you have the PC sitting on top of your desk, but in my setup, I have it sitting on a shelf near the ground. I have accidentally kicked or bumped into the power button like 3 or 4 times now, and I'm not even that clumsy. Just getting in and out of my desk and grazing the button is enough to turn off the computer. I don't know why they decided to have the power button protruding from the case like it does. I have a feeling that it'll be just as easy to bump into it if it's on top of your desk. Reaching over to grab something like a mic or your phone or something can become a risk just because of the stupid button. Also, no USB-C support? It's 2023, let's get at least one on the front panel. Won't knock a star off cause that's something you can see before you buy. But still I think Thermaltake can add one in the future I can't knock it too much tho. For the price point I really don't know if there's a better case out there. I'll eventually upgrade my build, and when I do, I will likely buy a new case to go with it. If you're working on a budget and want something gets the job done AND shows off your expensive parts, this is pretty darn good. ... show more

I used this Versa H18 case for my Mini-ITX build, pairing it with the Gigabyte A520I AC motherboard and the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G processor. For a Micro ATX tower, it’s surprisingly compact and easy to work with. The tempered glass side panel gives the final product a great look without adding a lot of cost. It offered decent room for cable management behind the motherboard tray, which was a huge help for airflow. The Thermaltake 650W PSU fit easily down in the shroud. If you're looking for a simple, budget-friendly case with good thermal design and a clean aesthetic, this is an excellent choice. The Thermaltake Versa H18TG keeps all my components cool with adequate meshed front panel airflow, PSU shroud to showoff power supply while hiding messy cables and build is of sturdy construction. It made my first custom build simple and easy to manage. Having a tempered glass side panel used to be an expensive luxury just a few years ago. Now we can get decent front mesh airflow with tempered glass for only $54 USD in 2020. However it's not without flaws and I'll explain in detail. Well, unfortunately the PSU shroud actually chokes the GPU thermals so it'll be 10 degrees hotter than it should. If the PSU shroud had air holes or meshed vents on it, the GPU would be able to cool better. This also can be attributed to my Gigabyte motherboard placing the GPU slot lower since the NVME slot is above it. Regardless, the PSU shroud is harming GPU thermals. I really like the blue LED light bar/strip on the front panel but there's no option to change the color so it's either blue or off. This is a very minor gripe but it's still something I would like to see Thermaltake improve upon in the "Budget King" field of PC cases. This is still great value for the money and it's a nice starter case for beginners like myself. I overclocked and undervolted my CPU and GPU and both don't go over 60's under gaming load. Honestly a pretty good budget case. And feels good and durable. Would say, while normals fans work. Installing a artix p12 pro, i had to unscrew the usb board and flip it. It also is kind of hard to reach places and screws, don't know if thats normal with cases

I bought this case a week after Christmas and have been very pleased with it. It has a great build quality with a good features at this price point. Let me start with the Pros. For starters, at this price point of $50, it's hard to find a matx case with a tempered glass side. It even has a power supply shrowd to hide excess cables in that area. Talking about excess cables, it has a lot of space for cable management, with a good amount of cable tie spots. The pci slots are the proper size, so GPU sag is virtually no existent. I show the back of the pci slots in one of the pictures. Overall it feels great. Now on to the cons. Keep in mind, that for the price, most of these are justifiable. For starters, the cables coming out from the front I/O are not detachable, so dusting the front panel separately isn't possible because of this. As far as the space of the case, it feels like the front is kind of wasted since most people buying this case probably won't have water cooling, and that means that the space that would be for a radiator in the front is kind of wasted. It's more nitpicking than anything, it just bugged me since I felt forced to put my SSD there so it won't look like the space is just being wasted. Overall, the cons are justifiable for the price, so there isn't any that would stop me from suggesting this case. Also, I've noticed that many people were complaining about the short threads on the thumbscrews for the tempered glass, and it really didn't bug me at all, but it's something to keep in mind ... show more
