  • Perfect for Twitch streaming!
Style: HD60 X
Perfect for Twitch streaming! The Elgato HD60 X has been a game changer for my streams. Setup was super easy — just plug it in and it works right away with OBS and Streamlabs. The video quality is crystal clear at 1080p 60 FPS, and there’s zero noticeable delay when I’m playing or monitoring my capture. I love how compact it is and that it doesn’t need any extra drivers or complicated settings. It handles both my console and PC gameplay perfectly, and my viewers instantly noticed the boost in quality. If you stream on Twitch or record gameplay often, this capture card is 100% worth it — smooth, reliable, and professional-grade results every time. ... show more

  • UPDATE: Where do I even begin..
Style: HD60 X
FIX: Hope this helps! So if you are using a webcam to stream and a capture card you need to make sure they aren’t on the same USB drive as they conflict and both try to take priority as a camera and only one will work. If you put them in different slots on the PC they will work. I streamed and this Capture card is absolutely amazing. The quality is great for picture and sound! Let’s begin here. I was extremely excited for this product as many streamers swear by it. Well when it works. The thing is, is that you need to go to the website and it doesn’t tell you exactly what to download or what’s required as there are many products. I eventually found out you need The 4K capture utility software. I got everything plugged in and it seemed promising.. I logged into my streaming sites and boom my game appeared. Everything’s working fine. Once I began going through all the options and the quality seems amazing along with the sound. No lag and the picture quality seemed great! Now here’s the problem. Once I gena streaming this box started disconnecting and reconnecting freezing my stream and cutting out the audio. I had to keep plugging it in and out, to get it going again. Then my webcam began doing the same. After HOURS and I mean hours of researching online, Google, Reddit and TikTok there was little to no help. I made several changes to my PC settings. I also confirmed it was in a USB 3.0 port. My PC is fully capable of handling this Capture Card. After about 3 days and over 20 hours of research with no progress I decided to return this box.. I also saw many other streamers experiencing this for well over the past year with no fix. I even bought a Powered USB 3.0 dock as I was made aware that this Capture Card is very demanding and some issues was that it overloads the PC. This did not even fix it. I tried to stream again with the new Powered box and the Elgato HD 60 x continued to disconnect and reconnect while my other devices remained stable and active. I tried deleting all the software and re-installing it all. Tried different ports and better quality HDMI cables. NOTHING WORKED. For being a $150 box I expected so much more and ease of use.. I’m really disappointed because when it decides to work it seems absolutely amazing but once these issues started they became frequent and un-fixable. Pros: Good quality when it works Cons: Directions Power driven (hard on PC’s) very demanding even for lower quality gaming. Bad support Appears software isn’t being newly updated on site. Didn’t work ... show more

  • Elgato HD60 X
Style: HD60 X
I've been using the Elgato HD60 X for a few weeks now, and it has been a game-changer for my streaming setup. The capture quality is excellent smooth 1080p60 recordings with almost zero lag thanks to the passthrough feature. Setting it up with OBS was effortless, and it works perfectly with my PC and iPad. The build is compact and sturdy, and I love that it doesn’t require extra power. It’s ideal for live streaming fast-paced games like Call of Duty Mobile The only limitation is that recording is capped at 1080p60, even if your game runs in 4K. For me, this isn’t a problem because my streams are in Full HD, but if you want 4K recordings, you might need a different model. Overall, highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, low-latency capture card for streaming or recording gameplay! ... show more

  • Impressively low latency
Style: HD60 X
I am a self-admitted fringe case when it comes to the capture card audience, because I'm not just buying them to stream from. My primary use for them is to play console games directly from the capture preview, because frankly I'm a PC gamer that's just too lazy to buy speakers. Doing it this way makes streaming through discord simple, lets me use my PC's recording and clipping setup to make easy recordings, and keeps me from having to figure out new ways to set up my various consoles to use my nice headphones. Some of you probably visibly recoiled reading that paragraph, and maybe a few of you even passed out, so I apologize. Obviously, this is a bad idea -- but it's a testament to Elgato that they've enabled my ridiculous setup. Before I upgraded to a graphics card so big that I had to remove it, I previously used an internal PCie HD 60 Pro card, and in switching to a USB card I was worried about how it would hold up in terms of the HD 60 Pro's basically nonexistent latency and perfect quality. I do think it feels like there's a tiny bit more latency, at least as far as I can tell from completely unscientific observations, but it's still well within the playable range. I mostly use consoles for singleplayer games, but I can at least vouch for it in saying that I still have the highest amount of minigame stars won in Mario Party Jamboree with my friends (if you don't know what this means, just know it's a very coveted achievement, up there with Oscars and the Nobel Prize). How much latency is there, exactly? I don't know; at the risk of being a bit controversial, using a gamepad already feels like those nightmares where you try to throw a punch but just swing your arms around like noodles to me so the most I can say is it doesn't make it feel any worse. How does it affect the picture quality? I don't know, none of my consoles can output at 1440p anyways. But it works, and it works well. And if it works this well for my clown college farce of a setup, it's probably even better for people using it the way it's intended. ... show more
