  • Good pc. Bad Thermaltake service.
There were some fans that made a lot of noise and seemed to be caught on something. A bunch of plastic was rattling on the back that’s when I noticed that the fans were bad. I contacted Thermaltake, hoping to get the fan replacements. Their options were to send the PC back to them or to return it to Amazon. Well, I’ll send the whole thing back and request a refund. You want me to mail the PC back and hope that it comes back undamaged, and you also want me to send back the only PC I have at home. The PC should be functional on arrival, this issue is due to improper installation. I would have been 100% happy if they send me the fans at no cost and maybe take care of me as a customer. I would rather spend my money on a more reliable company that is willing to take care of their customers, I mean this is not a cheap PC. Sorry for the rant! ... show more

  • A Real Powerhouse
Purchased the i470T for $1999 on Black Friday. While not cheap, it is great value for the performance it provides. I am able to run the latest games on ultra settings in 5120x1440 at 60+fps. The one negative experience I have to mention is that the tower made an awful ticking sound as I turned it on. The problem turned out to be the power cables of the rear fans being pinched by the rear cover from factory. I had to take apart the sides, tuck away the cables, and reassemble the tower. This wasn't as bad as it sounds and I can not justify deducting a whole star for this, but wanted to be transparent. I am very satisfied with my purchase otherwise, after 2 weeks of ownership. Will report back if any issue pops up. ... show more

  • Sweet Build (Mostly), Fast Shipping, Arrived as Ordered, Looks Sweet, Micro-ATX is a Little Tight!
The media could not be loaded. Shipping: The unit arrived on schedule, took 2.5 days. It arrived in a heavy cardboard box with the Thermaltake OEM box packed inside tightly with additional foam. It was well packaged. Once I unboxed the computer, I noticed the inside of the case was packed with foam as well, to prevent any component movement or damage. IT WAS PACKED!!! I was almost afraid I would damage the water-cooling system trying to get the expanding-foam bag out of the case (see pics). First Fire: After unpacking the various foam pieces from inside the case, I ensured all components were well seated and I replaced the front glass cover, hooked everything up and – hit the power button. OH SHIP! It sounded horrible! The rear case fans were obstructed. I powered it down, removed the rear panel, and realized the fans were obstructed by the wiring behind the MB mounts. Easily remedied! The Case: What can I say, it looks awesome! That being said, the non-RGB case fans are cheap, and they hardly move any air (see video). I will be replacing them. The case is tight, by design, it’s a small formfactor. There is not much room to work and there is very little room for any additional HD’s or components, but there is an open section in the very bottom of the case - not visible through the front window. The back panel on the MB is difficult to access (see picture), as it is underneath the top panel of the case. There is a small slotted section in the upper-back of the case to allow you to run your wires/cables through the back and plug them into the “top”, which is actually the back of the MB. Components: The Good: The MB in the Thermaltake Reactor i470T is an ASROCK B760M-C, which is an amazing, feature rich, (low-end) Micro-ATX board. 1 xPCIe 5.0 slot for the CPU and 3 xPCIe 4.0 slots. *Look up the specs on the ASROCK site or see the Tom’s Hardware review on his website. The RG45/LAN connection is 2.5GbE Realtek Dragon. The Wifi 2.4/5 GHz works awesome and comes with 2 MU-MIMO antennas. The Bluetooth 5.3 also works amazing! The Not-so-good: The MB does not support Overclocking, even though the processor (Intel i9-13900K) does. Not sure the paring makes sense, other than to lower cost. ASROCK apparently doesn’t have software to control Fan Speed. The case fans are bunk, they need replaced. The MB rear panel is somewhat difficult to access. The GPU fans are wicked loud (see video). The Questionable: I haven’t pulled them yet, but I have no idea what memory is in the machine. The listing stated (2x16) 32GB DDR5 RGB 5600MT/s, which it is, I confirmed in the System Settings, but that’s all I know. *The MB supports up to (4x32) 128GB DDR5 up to 7200+ MT/s (OC). The M.2 is a 2TB NVMe, that’s all I know. I have no idea what Brand or Gen. I will have to inspect further and update later. *The MB supports up to PCIe 4. *Why a B670 chipset though? Such a bad ass build should have come with a Z790. BUT, I GOT THIS BAD BOY WITH A $500 OFF COUPON – THANKS AMAZON! Bottom Line: I am very satisfied thus far. I have had the system less than 24 hours and I have upgraded to Win11 Pro 22H2 and I plan to start testing the system pretty heavily the next few days. I will provide an update later. Update: 12/6/23 Machine running great, looks great, BG3 running flawlessly on highest settings! The memory and the M2 drives are Thermaltake, as are the case fans - which is a little surprising, just because I'm not impressed with them. ... show more

  • Used twice and it blew up…
I have had it sitting and waiting to be set up. I started setting it up today and out of nowhere I heard a pop and the pc turned off and won’t turn back on. This is so frustrating. I have had it a month and not even gotten to use it.

  • Plays any game I've tired on its highest settings
This PC was pretty easy to setup and get running right out of the box. I've played several new titles and they all work great and look amazing. I left out a star because I have WiFi issues and a bluetooth issue I've yet to work out. Wifi signal is very weak even with router a few feet away. Bluetooth worked great the 1st day and has now completely disappeared from the PC. I've installed and reverted back to multiple drivers with no affect. ... show more
