I didn't realize my beloved baby blanket was "famous" until I searched Amazon on a whim looking for a replacement of the one I was given as a baby 40+ years ago. I got the throw size blanket and love that I can finally be covered from foot to shoulder by my giant Baby Morgan. It's lightweight but warm. Washes and dries easy and well. The waffle texture is my absolute favorite and I love to rub the nylon border (much preferred over the satin), which fell off my original blanket years ago. Only after I received the new blanket did I notice how the old ones were starting to get a little less soft after thousands of trips through the washer/dryer (the weave has loosened significantly). The quality of these blankets is unbeatable. Baby Morgan blankets have provided me security and comfort my whole life and I'm so glad I could order a replacement that makes me feel like a child again!

Very much like my childhood blanket, down to the off white color and waffle texture. While it won't cover an average adult from head to toe, the size is still adequate for a throw. The honeycomb weave is nice to the touch, making the blanket soft, a little stretchy, and breathable enough. It's not very thick, but does a good job of keeping you warm if you layer it with another blanket. It didn't have a plastic smell out of the box, but the stitching is a bit sloppy so there's a small section where the trim isn't attached to the blanket. Four stars for quality and five for nostalgia.

This blanket/throw feels sooooo soft. The material is definitely high quality and the nylon trim is identical to what I remember from my baby blanket. My sensory needs are satisfied with this throw! So warm and cozy. It's definitely a little pricey but I feel the quality is there and I'm happy I purchased! Love, love, love!

I am a middle-aged man who has sensory neurodivergence and I’ve slept with Baby Morgan blankets my entire life. The attachment is so strong that I’ve often worried about what life will be like when I am way older and these blankets are just a relic of the past, where they’re completely unavailable in the used market. Until now, the only way to get them was to buy them used at exorbitant prices. From my understanding, Baby Morgan went insolvent sometime in the late 90s or 00s, and the textile factory Bright Future bought all their assets. Bright Future made a blanket in this style, and I bought three of them in 2004, but they were not quite the same. The Bright Future blankets only had 1.5 inches of binding, poorly stitched, and were thinner, and very inconsistent and obviously manufactured to a price, which is less than ideal for my sensory-seeking quirk that I have. Sometime not too long after that, Bright Future was also gone for good, and that was the end of the original. About every five years I go searching for a status update on the Baby Morgan blanket market. Usually it’s nothing but bad news, just higher prices and slim pickings. However, this time was different! I came across the website first, where I read the backstory and immediately ordered one. Then a week later I ordered five more on Amazon. I had always thought that maybe one day the Baby Morgan blanket would be back, true to its original form. For those that keep track, you know what people pay for them. I’ve waited decades for this to come to market. For all intents and purposes, these are very close to the originals. Time will tell as far as how they age, but brand new the waffle weave is tight, and thick, which I think will relax with time. You get a full 2” of satin or nylon. For me, I have to have the nylon edge. I’ve only had it for a week so far but I can tell that this is the one I’ve been wanting. There are some differences but it doesn’t decrease the quality of the product in any way. You have to accept that it won’t be 100% true to the original but if it provides comfort and sensory experience, and fools you into thinking it is the original, then it’s doing its job. The first thing I noticed right away that the binding is straight-sewn and not zig-zag. I’ll see how it holds up, but on mine after a few years I re-sew the binding with a lot more thread in the hopes of giving it more life. I like the sew job and it seems like it will hold up. If anything, the stitches are shorter/closer so you might actually get more stitching with this product. The edge seems durable. Another small difference which I think is an improvement, is that the corners are diagonally sewn down. On the original they are just folded and not tacked down as it turns the corner and that has been a failure point on past blankets. I also opted for the larger size, because when I was a kid, the blanket was appropriately sized for my body, and while I grew up, my blankets did not. So, the larger size makes a lot of sense for the customer base which I suspect are millennial-aged adults who either want it for themselves, or are new parents that want their kids to have the same experience. If the creator of the product sees this review, I just want to say thank you for bringing it to the market. It means so much to me. I’ve got six to start, and I’ll be purchasing more of these stored in a fireproof container kept in a separate location as a backup plan, just in case. I can’t imagine all of the work it took to get this to a finished retail product. It's very professional. I wish you nothing but success in your endeavor. For those that think this product might be another poorly made knock-off and are afraid of being disappointed, I assure you that it’s not. I’ve tried all the knock-offs including some 1980s-era competitors and some modern-day Dillard’s blankets, and these new blankets are in a class of their own.
