We are so thrilled with our Touchstone 80013 Electric Fireplace. It's the best choice we could have made for our situation. We have solar so by going electric, we reduced the cost of running a fireplace and secondly, the metal screen provides a warmer, cozier look than glass-faced versions. We were able to inset the fireplace into a custom cabinet since the vents blow forward rather than out the top or sides. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking to go electric. Someone asked if it came with crystals, as well as the logs... yes, it comes with both the crystals and the logs so you have the option to choose what you like best. I haven't used the crystals so I don't know how it looks in the fireplace (I prefer the logs), but wanted to include a picture of the crystals so you have an idea if this is something you may prefer.

It looks great and was easy to install. The bezel could be a little larger so the hole it fits in does not need to be so precise. One issue is an annoying grinding noise when the flames are on. I have contacted the company to see what they will do for me. It is under warranty still. Updated***** I sent the company a video with the noise it was making and they sent me a new unit, no questions. The new one is perfectly quiet.

The media could not be loaded. As you can see. This is absolutely beautiful. I am in love. I am a second return buyer of this brand. The 1st touchstone fireplace was a 50 inch crystal we loved it.. decided to replace the small low gas fireplace.. this wall was built-in front of the old fireplace and.. its the touchstone matt metal grill instead of the glass front. All I can say is Woww, wowwww, woww. I love 💘 I have to say, it was easy to install. I am a woman, and was not too heavy to lift by myself.. 1st big project on my own.. sooooo happy how beautiful it remodeled my living room... love love... 💘

Very pretty and sleek, but after only using 5-6 times, it started making a loud sound every 3 seconds. It’s sounds like wind bursts, or a gear grinding. It happens whenever it’s on, heat or just flame. It’s disappointing because it’s brand new and we custom built a surround for it. Thinking about replacing it is a shame but the constant noise is obnoxious.

My weekend started as many do. My wife lying in bed scrolling through Pinterest. She then lovingly rolled over and says “honey, I was thinking.... Long story short. I built out the wall. Ran a dedicated 20amp line from the box to the new wall. Fireplace requires 12 amp. Built a mantel etc.... I’m very pleased with my purchase and couldn’t ask for much more. even had to rely on the heat the other day. I had to defrost the main hvac at the house so I turned the system off and let this run o high for the day. It kept the main family area at a warm 70 when it was about 36 outside. Do yourself a favor and pay more for the matte black. So glad we did. It gets rid of that shiny glass front.

These units are reasonably priced, look, great, and have a decent amount of heat output. Unless you are very handy, you will need to have this installed (cost = $100-$150). Also recommend hard wiring the unit so the cord is not exposed.

This fireplace looks great! You will not be disappointed in the look or quality. Just know the heater does not have a large output.

The media could not be loaded. We had to replace a wood-burning fire box at our vacation rental. I was skeptical of the simulated 2D-fire and overall look buying online. Very pleased. It has the added pleasure of the ambiance of a fire on warm days/evenings. This exceeded expectations at a 1/3 of the cost of others considered.
