  • Well made snow shovel….A great purchase!
Bought as a replacement for other snow shovels that had seen many other snow seasons in Wisconsin. Got this for my husband as a little special surprise gift. He is very picky about what he uses to keep our outdoor areas free of snow. I knew I was taking a chance with this purchase. It came very quickly and just in time for a big snowstorm. My husband loved it so much that we immediately purchased one that is wider. These two shovels have been perfect for our longer than normal snow season this year in Wisconsin. They are substantial and very well made. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase. ... show more

  • Worth it
Let me start by saying I plow snow for a living in the winter, and live in Maine. I typically buy two shovels per year from the big box stores. They are about 25-30 dollars. I buy two because I need a spare for when one breaks, which I know it will. One usually makes it to late January or early Feb, the next depends on how much wet heavy snow we get in Feb-March. I had read about this shovel on www.plowsite.com, and had put off buying it because of the price, and the fact that I had 2 shovels already. One broke late Feb, on schedule, and I finally bought the dominator. Wow. I wish I had done it years ago. It is durable, and the plastic is heavy duty. I was skeptical about a plastic shovel, and it not being able to scrape very well. This shovel on my first storm scraped down so good I spent an extra 30 minutes at one property scraping up the hard pack my other shovel had left behind all winter. I'm talking 2-3 inches of hard pack. I actually felt like I owed it to my customer to do what the other shovel should have done all winter. The hardpack is due to their dogs running up and down the steps, as well as them walking up and down the stairs to get the paper etc, and it is concrete. I cannot attest to its durability or longevity yet, but I will be sure to update it, and will be ordering another one next fall. Also, the few storms we have had that were wet heavy snow, nothing stuck to. I can't say how many times I have gone to throw the snow and almost blew my back out because the snow stuck to the shovel. Very pleased with this product, the shipping was fast, assembly was a breeze. Thank you for making a quality product. ... show more

  • Excellent Build Quality and Easy to Use.
I used this last winter, and it performed perfectly. The wood handle is sturdy and the grip is comfortable to use. The size is perfect for digging into a snow bank, however, I did end up also getting the 36" size to help clear a bunch of sidewalks, which is perfect, as it clears them more quickly and is still easy enough to maneuver around corners and objects. This size is perfect for snow banks and such. The plastic shovel part helps keep it light and easier to use, and yet is certainly strong, along with with not rusting. A great snow shovel. ... show more

  • Worth it
Seemed expensive but turned out to be the nicest shovel we have ever had as well as safe for our new composite deck. Weird to love a shovel, but where we live it will get a lot of use and it is worth the money.

  • My new main snow fighter
I had my snow shovel for 20 years. It did a great job but finally this last snowfall did it in and the metal edge band broke off. I needed a replacement I could count on. Enter THE SNOW DOMINATOR. This snow shovel is awesome. It assembled quick and easy. It’s just as big and able to scoop as my last shovel (I push a shovelful and then toss it into the bed of my truck. That way I get the snow out of the way and weight in case I need to drive the truck anywhere in the snow). I like the shape and feel of it and it scrapes perfectly and doesn’t seem to have the annoying tendency to get caught on cracks like my metal edged one. ... show more

  • Decent value.
Seems pretty good, thicker at the scoop end than the top.

  • Excellent shovel
Best shovel ever, longer handle and non stick. I’ve bought two already, so much better than other brands.

  • Impressed for my first time using this shovel, did something tradional big box shovels can't
I've had my share of the run of the mill plastic with metal edge shovels over the years. I've been shoveling for 40 years so typically you know what you can do with a shovel. This last week in STL we got snow/freezing sleet and more snow. The driveway had a solid 1-2" of ice packed snow and about 10" of snow on top of that. The old shovel I had would just shave the hard frozen snow. I was not getting too far. Today I got this new shovel. I went out and gave it a shot and I was quite surprised that it was able to start getting under the snow/ice levels and break up the heavy packed down snow/ice on the driveway. I hope this lasts and is my last shovel I'll ever need. I got so much done in good time, the pieces of ice/snow was heavy but what this shovel was able to accomplish I figured would be days of just working slowly at it. If you need a shovel and are willing to spend more, you will find this is a better value long term for your money. ... show more
