A very good book , easy to read . She explains very well how muscles and joints work and how to strengthen them, and explains in a simple way so that young and older people understand. She suggests simple exercises for people with busy schedules, or that it doesnt have to be about intense workouts but to stay active to keep your joints and muscles healthy. This book is an excellent read for those who may just be starting out and wanting to learn more but also goes deep enough for those more intermittent. She touched on every aspect of the whys, what's, and how's while it in a way that anyone can understand. My favorite section was about working from a desk and options to keep your muscles and joints flexible and feeling good. Finally, she needs each section with a chance for reflection.   • Personal Trainer meets Life Coach
This author and the content in this book gave the most insightful, encouraging and empowering tools through a different point of view and is much more affordable than a personal trainer or a life coach. Infact, that's why I continued to read and purchased this book. I have paid hundreds of dollars over the past year all of which I failed because of being stuck in a mindset of where my physical fitness and my life just wasn't at. I couldn't just jump into core routine and find the energy to keep up, let alone work past aches and pains. Picking up this book, I was looking for an answer to help me engage my in physical fitness. I honestly was at the point of giving up. I am a mother of 4, having my last child at the age of 43, and I sit behind a desk most of the day. When giving this book a 5 minute power read, I immediately was on a train if thought of "I can do this", "this makes incredible sense", and "let's change our point of view." The author speaks on a personal level, guiding with insight and really sets your mind up for success. She begins with a platform to build from, which is accessable to all that feel defeated or not physically able to do much. She is brief, to the point and mentally walks you through all the hurdles to set yourself up for success! Even if it's just being pain free with motion and performance, or getting past the menopause hurdles or even recovering from injury. It works and it's empowering!!!
