Description

Constructed with today's Birds in mind, our charming 1920's Dutch colonial home sports its distinctive profile. It's not uncommon to hear it described as a "barn house." the double angled, gambrel roof allowed a Complete S Story to be built at minimal expense. One infamous Dutch colonial, the Amityville Horror house, situated in a suburban neighborhood in long island, new York was the site of a series of mysterious murders. To this day, Amityville residents report paranormal phenomena in & around the house. A 1 1/4" hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches & titmice to nest. Not gonna lie... bought this because it looks like the Amityville house... It’s not going outdoors but it’s getting re-vamped for a Halloween display! I’m freaking obsessing over this house!! Now I want another so I can put polyurethane on it and put it outside!

The details and quality were spot on, but absolute perfection would have been a little sign outside of the house that read "High Hopes", just like the original Amityville Horror House!

Simply beautiful exactly as described. Love the detail and craftmanship! I'm very pleased with my purchase.I bought this birdhouse to not only match my home but as an additional decorative accessory to my yard. We love birds. I can't wait to see which one makes it their happy home this Spring!

I love the look of this birdhouse and placed it outside where I could see it from my kitchen window. I did not mind too much that I had to touch up some sloppy painting around the windows, then I added 2 coats of brush on polyurethane to protect it. One summer outside and it needs major repairs. I think it is meant for sheltered or indoor use only. Would not buy again! ... show more

    • Craftsmanship not worth the money.
The craftsmanship and painting weren’t good. For this price it should’ve been painted and finished perfectly. Done windows were glued uneven, the paint was missing in some places and bleeding in many others.
