In-freakin-credible. I'm obsessed with this lamp. I haven't owned a lava lamp in about 10 years. My last one stopped moving the wax internally after a while. I'm pretty sure it's because I left it on all the time, even when I wasnt home. Because it takes about an hour to heat up from all the way cold to start around, and I like it to be on as soon as I get home. Anyways, so far ive left it on almost 24/7 since I got it about a month ago, and it remains super pretty and functional! Product came out of the box foggy, contacted the company and they resent me another one which was also just as foggy. Follow the instructions included on how to make the cloudiness go away and it did not work. Ended up using the base for a different lava lamp and putting the glass + wax apparatus in my lava lamp graveyard. ... show more

These lava lamps are great. They are the perfect size for a desk and work exactly as expected. The flow is smooth and consistent once warmed up, and they give off a relaxing glow. The gunmetal grey is slightly lighter than it appears in the pictures, but it still looks good. Just something to keep in mind if you are trying to match a very specific shade. This lava lamp is so cloudy that I could barely see the wax moving. Also, I am positive it’s the fluid because if I remove the lid, I can see through the colored globe perfectly. It’s only cloudy at and below the fluid level. I considered sending it back, but I imagine the replacement would be cloudy too. I will be filtering the fluid, which is an additional cost. It’s ridiculous to have to spend more to get what should be perfect, but it is what it is. Everything is too expensive and also horrible quality these days. ... show more

    • My First Lava Lamp
This was the Lava Lamp that started it all! Arrived in perfect condition. The colors of the globe are painted on the inside. Other brands have the outside painted which can chip easily or not careful. Came with a working light bulb. No dents on the base or cap. Took about 45 minutes until it started moving. Beautiful colors starting from the bottom with shades of pink and purple fading upwards into shades of blues and greens. After this one I was hooked all over again! From the date I purchased this up until now I've accumulated over 100 thus far. This one still runs as smooth as it did from day 1! Honestly this is a great hobby to get into especially learning how many different shapes sizes and colors that are out there, plus the history of Lava Lamps and learning how to restore and take care of them. ... show more

    • Does not always produce expected results, but it's pretty.
The colors are really nice, but it's hard to make it perform as expected. Sometimes it does well and sometimes it just sits there like a cloud. I just have to keep adjusting it to make it work and it's hard to know how to do.

Lamp is the wrong color. Package was damaged on arrival. Came with no instructions. The bulb was loose in the package and blown (had to go get a bulb from Walmart) and the lava lamp is so cloudy you can’t see the lava in it.
