I read all the reviews about the plastic lid covers not fitting very well and then I found this product. I really love it! The can fits right inside and stays fresh and covered and no smells (although I’m not sure why because there is NOT a rubber gasket inside). Either way, it works great and I’m glad I found them.

I have two dogs; One is a 110 pound german shepherd and the other a 10 pound terrier. The larger dog is fed Pro Plan dry food but my little terrier is getting old and can only eat wet food. I open a can of food and feed my little guy maybe a cup then I put the remainder in this storage container (in the can) and refrigerate it for adding to my big boy's dry food to make it more palatable. This storage container is one of my favorite Amazon gems and I highly recommend it. It is well made and can be used for any same size can for storage. If you're on the fence just try it. You can always return it if it doesn't fit your needs.

Waaaay better than those crummy can lids! I always had a hard time with the silicone lids fitting dog food cans easily, sometimes having to flip the can over with the lid on the bottom to get a good fit. These keep food fresh, and are super EZ to screw on and off. Love them! Easy to wash, too!

Not dishwasher safe but I do them on the top rack. Pro is that the can covers are sturdy and do a good job of covering the open cans. Con is that once that can is covered... good luck telling what it is. We purchased 2 since we are a multi dog home and typically have more than one can going at a time and with these covers...we can't tell what is what till we unscrew the lids. Either a write-on-wipe-off section or a clear window would be really helpful.

Edit. I read other negative reviews and glad I ignored them. Zero problems. Not sure if others received defective items but the 4 I have are so easy to use. Open and close seems impossible to mess up. Food stays as fresh as the day can is opened. This is something I did not know I needed until I saw it. I received my order a few days ago and this is exactly what was needed for canned dog food! My pups would turn their noses up to food that was more than one day opened. I was tired of throwing away expensive food so when I saw these I thought YES!!! I ordered 4 because I have 4 different canned foods I use, weight loss for one, senior sensitive stomach for another, ground to wrap medicine in for my senior foster. The only thing that would make these even more perfect if they came in clear to see which food is in each container.

I can't say enough about these! I switched my dogs to wet food only. They're all seniors and only have a few teeth left. Using saran wrap was messy. These are amazing at keeping food fresh! I love how they look. I do wish they came in other colors. Love how they keep my refrigerator smell-free from the dog food as well as clean from no yucky mess from the cans.
