Description

My stepsister always got what she wanted. I just never expected her to steal my pack. I accepted that I’m never going to be the main character, or the first choice. That title belongs to my step-sister, Arabella. She’s beautiful, charming, and a social media darling, not to mention the face of our family's company. I’m the only one that sees the darker side of her. But I’m just the quiet stepsister hidden away in the laboratory, creating the products that made her famous. Me and my defective scent glands never stood a chance against my stepsister. Even my own family likes to forget I exist. So when the powerful Pack Vale wanted to collaborate with her, no one thought twice. Least of all me. I’d be glad if she bonded with someone and left me in peace. But after meeting Hunter, Elias, and Ronan, something changes in me. For the first time, I’m getting second glances and attention. And for a moment, it seems that they might be the only pack around that isn’t interested in Arabella. But my family didn't build their empire by giving up control. And Arabella would rather cut her hair off than let me have my happily ever after. She'll do whatever it takes to convince Pack Vale that they chose the wrong omega. But even I can’t believe what lengths she goes to when she wants a pack that I thought was destined for me. Now, Pack Vale seems convinced that Arabella is the omega for them, and I’m painted to be a crazy, obsessed stalker. Am I? As the stakes grow, I find myself fighting for the only thing I have left to lose. My family is determined to keep me in the shadows, and let Pack Vale be lied to. Every moment I spend with them makes it harder to ignore the undeniable pull between us, and I have to find a way to let them know the truth before the chance is gone forever. -- The Omega Switch is a slow-burn, darker, angsty why-choose omegaverse romance featuring a neglected genius heroine, powerful alphas and a charming beta doctor, family betrayal, forced proximity, protective mates, and a guaranteed happily ever after with no choosing required. This is book 1 of a duet and will end on a cliffhanger. Read more

  • Oh Ivy
Format: Kindle
This story is pretty similar to Cinderella but with only one mean stepsister, an evil stepmother, awful fathers and clueless mates. The story really grabs you from the beginning however as you get to the 50% mark the chapters become repetitive. I will say that the ending really made me proud of Ivy.

Loved this! I’m only upset with myself for not seeing it wasn’t a completed duet. A lot of books don’t get the trauma response right but this author nailed it. I always hated when the abuser would say or do something to the FMC and they would just go with it. It would make me so frustrated that they didn’t have a spine. This book did a really good job of explaining why those things that the abusers did made sense to the FMC and it was a lot easier to understand why she would act and say the things that she did. When her sister told her she was overdressed, even though she was rude about it I can see how the FMC would think that trying to dress up for an event with the pack would come off as desperate rather than casual without her seeing the underlining motive. Before you know it, there’s an entire chain of events of things FMC experienced that just make you feel bad for her rather than frustrated with her. I can’t wait for the next one. I hope she tells the entire family and pack to go f themselves. We definitely need some resolution around her stake in the company financially. And of course some consequences to the sister and family- the more public the better. ... show more

  • Impossible to Put Down
Format: Kindle
ARC Review – ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ (4.5/5 stars) The Omega Switch completely surprised me. While I definitely had a few issues with it, I also couldn’t put it down—I ended up reading the entire book in a single day/night, and I think that says more than anything else. The story hooked me very quickly, even though I felt that part of the middle became somewhat repetitive. There were also a few moments that stretched my suspension of disbelief a bit, even for a fictional story. My biggest frustration, however, was with Pack Vale. These are successful, experienced men, and I found it hard to believe that they wouldn’t question certain suspicious events or trust their own instincts more often. Their reactions to some situations felt overly oblivious, which occasionally pulled me out of the story. I also tend to struggle with FMCs who seem passive or don’t stand up for themselves, and Ivy definitely tested my patience at times. That said, Violet Coltair did an excellent job portraying her quiet resilience. Even when Ivy appeared weak on the surface, there was an inner strength that kept me rooting for her, and I appreciated how her character developed throughout the book. What really kept me turning the pages was the emotional intensity. There were so many moments that had me frustrated, heartbroken, and wanting to throw my Kindle across the room—in the best possible way. The author knew exactly how to get an emotional reaction out of me. Now I desperately need book two. I’m hoping Ivy makes Hunter, Ronan, and Elias work hard to earn her forgiveness. Even if they were manipulated, they still ignored too many warning signs, and I want to see them grovel. A lot. And after everything Ivy has endured, I’m also hoping she finally gets the chance to take back everything that’s rightfully hers. Overall, despite the issues I had, I genuinely enjoyed this book and would absolutely recommend it. If a book keeps me reading from start to finish overnight and leaves me counting the days until the sequel, it’s doing something right. Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC. All opinions are my own. ... show more

  • What a switch!
Format: Kindle
Now that I’ve finished reading; I’ve calmed down a bit. Arabella is a mean girl! Wow the tension flies off the pages and I wanted to smack some sense into some characters. What a switch this story turned out to be! I couldn’t put the book down once I started. Glad there’s a book 2.

  • Emotional Read
Format: Kindle
I love The Omega Switch: Part 1 and am very excited for book 2 (currently coming out October 3, 2026)! Thanks for letting me ARC read for you! This book is a deeply emotional read. Ivy is a shy omega that has been emotionally abused by her family. Her mother died when she was little, and her fathers mated a woman with a child. Arabella is the evil stepsister and truly is EVIL. I love how Violet Coltair wrote the trauma and healing. How often people believe the abuser rather than the abused. A very poignant story. The Omega Switch is more about the growth and healing of Ivy rather than a romance. I love gritty omegaverses, and this book fits the bill. I think that you should double check the trigger warnings before partaking. It is so worth it. I cried with sorrow. Ivy is a sweet, strong, intelligent omega that is going to rock your world. ... show more

  • OMG! WOW!
Format: Kindle
That was amazing! It was SOOO well written. The way that Violet Coltair writes makes you feel like you are experiencing the story right along with the characters. I could FEEL how Ivy felt right along with her!! It was outstanding! I cannot wait for part 2. Even though I knew this was going to be a cliffhanger, I was not prepared for that brutal of an ending! I wish part 2 was out already! I need it!! As for Pack Vale, I hope she makes them grovel until their knees are bruised from the amount of begging! And as for Ivy’s family, (especially her dad), well, there’s a very special place reserved for them!!! They totally deserve it! You definitely need to read this book!! It is phenomenal! You will not regret it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ... show more

  • it was good.
Format: Kindle
I love a Cinderella retelling. One of my favorite tropes. This one hit almost all the good spots except there was a lot of repeating. Felt we could have trimmed 100 pages from this and added part 2 to just have a standalone. Will for sure continue in October.
