  • High Quality, Warm Jacket
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
I’m very impressed with this North Face Aconcagua Jacket. North Face is a high-quality brand that has never disappointed me, and after owning several of their jackets over the years, this one easily ranks in my top three. The length is one of my favorite features. For reference, I’m 5’2”, 133 lbs, and a 34DD. I’m wearing a size Large, but I normally wear a Medium. I sized up thinking I’d need extra room for bulky winter layers, but I really should have ordered my true size. The Large is a bit too roomy through the body, and the sleeves are longer than I’d like. My advice is to stick with your usual size- there’s no need to size up. The “Endless Dusk” color is a gorgeous deep purple that I absolutely love. Most of my winter jackets are black, so this is a nice, subtle change while still being versatile. Although it’s still summer, I haven’t had the chance to test it in a Chicago winter yet. I have worn it to several hockey games in a freezing-cold rink, and it kept me warm and comfortable the entire time, which gives me confidence it will perform well this winter. The thoughtful details really set this jacket apart from less expensive options. I love the zippered pockets, the adjustable drawcord at the bottom, and the full-coverage hood. Tightening the bottom drawcord does a great job of keeping cold air and wind out. My only minor complaints are that I’d love a fleece-lined torso for a little extra softness and warmth, and wish it had interior pockets for storing my wallet when I don’t want to carry a purse. For me, the standout feature is the length. At 5’2”, the jacket falls below my knees, as you can see in my photos. That extra coverage will be a huge advantage during Chicago winters. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the quality, fit (when ordered in the correct size), warmth, and overall look of this jacket. If you’re looking for a stylish, well-made winter coat that offers excellent coverage and insulation, I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • The perfect winter coat
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
The North Face Aconcagua hooded parka is the perfect winter coat. I purchased an Aconcagua parka over 15 years ago and it is still as good as ever. So, when I saw this pretty plum hooded parka, I was excited to upgrade. The coat is made from 100% recycled polyester with a non-PFC durable water-repellent finish. The coat is wind resistant and repels water, perfect to wear on a winter rainy or snowy day. The coat has zip hand pockets and an attached hood. This coat, in my opinion, is meant for daily winter use. Because it is a parka, it goes to the middle of my shins on my 5’4” body. Therefore, it doesn’t just keep the top half of your body warm and protected, but also below the waist. The coat is incredibly light, especially for its length. I generally am a size small, but I always order all my North Face jackets in a large and I did the same for this coat. This is more of a personal preference because I factor in the bulky winter clothing I will be wearing but I also like my winter coats to be loose. I do not like that feeling of a tight coat. I would suggest when deciding what size to order you should factor in what you will be wearing underneath the coat and how fitted you prefer your jacket. I would also keep in mind that the zipper on the jacket is a 2-way zipper in that you can unzip it from the bottom to give more range of movement for your legs, if you need it. The coat is what I would call the perfect "car coat” because unzipping a bit from the bottom makes it easy to get in and out of the car. The hood is special in that when you fully zip up the jacket, the hood comes forward to cover your mouth and face. I love that feature. I think the insulation on this coat is great and certainly keeps you warm. ... show more

  • The Parka that will keep you warm in the frozen section of Publix
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
The North Face Aconcagua Hooded Parka is one of those jackets that shows up ready for adventure, even if the most adventurous thing you’re doing is walking from your car to the front door while carrying groceries. This thing is warm, structured, and has that classic North Face confidence — the kind that says, “I could climb a mountain,” even though you absolutely will not be climbing a mountain. The Endless Dusk color is sharp. It’s that perfect shade of “I look outdoorsy and responsible,” without crossing into “I’m about to lecture you on backpacking gear.” It’s stylish enough for everyday wear but rugged enough that you could survive a surprise cold snap, a windy pier walk, or one of those Florida winter mornings where it’s 38 degrees at sunrise and 82 by lunch. The insulation is legit. You put this thing on and immediately feel like your body upgraded its operating system. It’s warm without being bulky, and the hood is actually useful — not one of those flimsy decorative hoods that exist only for fashion. This one hugs your head like it’s trying to protect your thoughts. The fit in Large is spot‑on: roomy enough for layering, but not so oversized that you look like you’re smuggling beach towels under your clothes. The cuffs, zipper, and stitching all feel premium, and the parka has that “North Face durability” vibe — the kind that makes you think it’ll last longer than your next three cars. My wife took one look and said, “Oh, that’s nice,” which is basically the highest rating a jacket can receive in our house. She also immediately tried it on, which means it is hers. ... show more

  • Great winter parka by a trusted brand
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
The North Face Aconcagua Hooded Parka is a great option for staying warm and comfortable in cold, windy weather without feeling overly bulky. The recycled polyester sheet insulation provides dependable warmth, while the wind-resistant WINDWALL fabric does a good job of helping block chilly air. I also like the non-PFC DWR finish, which adds some useful water repellency for light rain or damp conditions. The attached three-piece hood provides additional coverage when the temperature drops, and the secure-zip hand pockets are convenient for keeping your hands warm while also protecting keys, a phone, or other small essentials. The overall design has the practical outdoor features you'd expect from The North Face while still looking clean enough for everyday wear. Positives: - Warm recycled polyester insulation - WINDWALL fabric helps block wind - DWR finish provides added water repellency - Three-piece hood offers good coverage - Zippered hand pockets are secure and practical - Versatile for outdoor activities and everyday winter wear - Great body coverage from knees to head Negatives: - May be warmer than necessary for mild weather - Hooded design can feel a little bulky when fully layered - A little on the expensive side, but pretty normal for North Face - No goose dawn fill, which is always better than the polyester Overall: A well-designed winter parka that combines warmth, wind resistance, water repellency, and practical storage. It's a versatile choice for cold-weather commuting, outdoor activities, and everyday winter use. ... show more

  • Knee length parka for single digit temps.
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
I live in the northern US and winters can get cold, so owning a good winter coat is ideal. When I got the chance to order this The North Face Aconcagua Hooded Parka, I figured it’d be worth checking out. The first thing that jumped out at me when I opened the package was the color. It’s a deep purple, almost like a dark eggplant, and it’s beautiful. I’m 5 feet 3 inches tall and this size large goes down to my knees, offering plenty of coverage from winter winds. The hood is a nice size since it can fit all of my big curly hair inside of it, but it’s sewn in place instead of being detachable (I prefer hoods that have a zipper at the neckline which gives them the ability to be detached). I do like that there’s still enough room for me to comfortably wear a hoodie underneath the jacket. Is this the warmest parka I own? Nope, but it’s still plenty warm for days that are single digit temperatures or just dipping into the negatives. But if the wind chill dips down into the double digits, I’ll stick to another parka that I own that’s rated for those crazy low temps. Overall I am glad I got the chance to order and try this The North Face Aconcagua Hooded Parka. While it’s not the warmest parka I own, it’s still warm enough to wear during the milder winter days in my area. Plus I absolutely love the purple color! ... show more

  • Super lightweight, beautiful, comfy, and tts
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
I absolutely love this North Face Parka. It fits true to size and has quickly become one of my favorite winter jackets. Cannot wait to use it! I’m 5’6”, and the length hits right around my knee, which gives great coverage without feeling bulky. The color is gorgeous in person and looks exactly like the listing photos. It’s warm without being overly heavy, making it comfortable for everyday wear. One of my favorite features is the two-way zipper that opens from both the top and bottom, which makes it much easier to sit, drive, or move around while wearing it. The hood is roomy, the pockets are a great size, and the overall construction feels very well made. The quality is exactly what I’d expect from The North Face, with neat stitching, smooth zippers, and a comfortable fit. It feels durable enough to last for many seasons while still being lightweight enough to wear daily. Overall, this is an excellent value if you’re looking for a warm, stylish winter jacket with great features. It looks just like the pictures, fits as expected, and has exceeded my expectations. Love it! ... show more

  • Just a beautiful coat!
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
I've always owned and worn mostly North Face clothing because of how stylish, comfortable, and practical their clothing is, but this parka takes their jackets to a new level. The jacket is long, even for someone six feet tall, like myself. The coat fits well in size large, but also has room for clothing underneath it. I would say the sizing chart is fairly true to size, but it does account for extra clothing under it, so order down a size if you live in a warmer area. The material is super light weight and the coat can be folded and compressed for easy storage in a back pack or drawer. The plum colour is also exceptionally beautiful and nature inspired for outdoor activities. The hood is wonderful because, it not only covers the neck, it wraps around to cover your cheeks and mouth when fully zipped up. The light weight material is mostly filled with air, which is a great insulator, and keeps you extremely warm, but not hot enough to cause sweating. Overall, this coat lives up to all the other products I've ordered from North Face, and the high cost will hopefully make it the last coat you need to buy. ... show more

  • 100% recycled material and beautiful.
Size: Large Color: Endless Dusk
Gorgeous North Face Hooded Parka. This parka is from the North Face Renewed line, which uses 100% recycled polyester. The parka is fairly lightweight but nice and toasty. The hem falls just below the bottom for nice coverage. The fabric is water repellent, with water bubbling and rolling off when exposed to light rain. The pockets are nice and deep, with zippers to secure items. The attached hood fits well without covering the face. The fabric has no imperfections, the seams are clean, and there are no hanging threads, just as expected from The North Face. I love that it is machine washable, but it is fairly bulky, so it would have to be washed separately. The price point is good compared to similar items. I am pleased that the coat uses 100% recycled materials, yet its quality is amazing. ... show more
