  • given the relatively thin line it produces these would also be great for affixing small details for card making given the relatively thin line it produces these would also be great for affixing small details for card making
These are incredible. So far I have used it to add more texture to my heat embossing projects and with foiling. I imagine, given the relatively thin line it produces these would also be great for affixing small details for card making, scrap booking, etc. Quick tips: There are two ways to use these! As the ink comes out it is blue, as it dries, it turns clear. The blue is intended to create a permanent bond and the clear more temporary. This will come up later. Heat Embossing: You can see in the video attached, that is basically creates a taller line than your traditional ink pad or embossing pen. That ink is relatively thin and the texture fully comes from the embossing powder. When you use this glue instead, it adds more dimension, creating more raised lettering, etc. You can apply heat embossing powder while the glue is still blue or once it's a bit dried (temporary) and the powder will stick no problem. Use your heat tool like you normally would, but be ware of bubbling! I noticed this a bit and think it's a result of not letting the glue dry enough after applying the powder. Glitter: No embossing powder? No problem, just use regular ole glitter. The result is really neat with little if any flaking after it fries. Foiling: I have a ton of toner reactive foil that I put to work often with my laser printer and laminator, I've never used for any other purpose until now. You can use this pen to write or draw or outline or trace whatever you want. You MUST let the glue dry. If it is still blue in any area, your foil will just smear the glue. You need it to be in a tacky sweet spot. Then just place foil over the glue, run your finger over to adhere, and peel off. If you have any missing spots you can always do touch ups with the glue pen or run the foil back over. As pictured, you can use this to add to an existing drawing or lettering project or just to be it's own thing. This is a game changer for how I use my foil sheets, much easier to use than the deco foil adhesive in my opinion. ... show more

  • Wow! Works great for foil, paper crafts, and more!
Boy, I wish I had these in ninth grade, when we had to mount a bunch of dried wildflowers for biology class! These pens are amazing. The amount of glue that comes out is like a bold gel pen. It flows quickly and smoothly, and I have not experienced a skip yet. The glue adhesion seems to hold up, and it even works great for foiling. Note: if you were going to use this for something delicate like glitter or foil, I would wait until the blue has faded to clear, and the glue is almost dry. Otherwise, any pressure will cause it to spread. ... show more

  • Tips and Tricks, Very Satisfied!
These work really well and I'm very satisfied with how easy this is to use. It's washable glue as far as I know, and mine all run smoothly and they feel very close to Sakura Gelly Roll Pens. I don't recommend opening all of them at once (take off the little plastic tip in order for the glue to start flowing) as if you don't put on the cap well enough it will dry out and waste a entire pen. if it stops flowing, try scribbling on a piece of scrap paper. If all else fails then take off the cap and hit it on the palm of your hand gently until it starts flowing agian (if in extreme measures I wack it as hard as possible without breaking it to get the glue to the tip). If none of these work then let it rest with the clap on with the tip side upside-down. Repeat previous steps in order and it'll most likely work if the glue hasn't dried up or run out of ink. ... show more

  • A Great Idea But....
These are very easy to use. The ballpoint is excellent for delicate areas. But! It dries so quickly that you end up with just a light tacky surface. I planned to use them to attach a cutout to a card. The cutout fell off. I then tried adding a second layer of glue and the same thing happened. I ended up using a different glue to get the die cut to stick. It was disappointing but may work well for different projects. ... show more

  • Great glue
good glue pen for small areas.

  • MAKE IT QUICK
If you are trying to use this little devil on a larger piece to glue down, good luck. I die cut a piece of honeycomb (apx 2"x3.5") & used this on the tiny strip openings ... but by the time I got it all ready ... the glue was dry. I think it will be perfect on a DOT for a gem, or a tiny bead, single dots at a time. Will have to experiment more. I thought I was ordering a "pick-up" tool, not a 'glue-it down' pen. Oh well. I'll use them. Just have to play with it to see what it can handle. NOW to find those "pick-er-uper" thingies ... ... show more

  • UPDATE: Non-Adhesive other than paper to paper
UPDATE: After more testing, I’m very happy with my purchase. First, you have to let the glue go clear before adhering anything to it. Second, I purchased these specifically for adhering deco foil to photo paper with alcohol inks. While the process does not work with just “pressure” it works amazing with a heat gun, or I’m sure a laminator (which I don’t have). Sorry for doubting you Sakura!!! Non-Adhesive on anything but paper. I brought these glue pens to add gold leafing to some of my canvas’s and alcohol ink paintings. Doesn’t stick on photo paper, doesn’t stick on canvas, and it was hard getting a foil to stick to paper. I wish these had more adhesive power, it would be great for other than paper to paper crafts 😞 ... show more

  • Out of the six I received, three of them had no glue and were useless.
It's a good product. However, I could only use three because the other three had no glue. I tried everything, but no glue came out of the three.
