I got this jacket for my wife to wear during the winter and as soon as she tried it on, she fell in love with it. It came with a 85% charge on the battery so she was able to try it immediately and that was a mistake because she did not want to take it off. I swear she is part lizard and needs to be under a heat lamp, lol. Well, this jacket does exactly that and it is great for her. We took measurements before we ordered it and it fit nicely with a little extra room for a sweatshirt or something like that. There are 3 heat settings, and my wife found the upper temps to be a little warm, even for her, but that is great because she likes to walk outside a lot and will be good in some colder weather. It does have a hood with it that rolls up and is tucked into the collar. Overall, I highly recommend this product! ** Follow-up 2 months later: Not sure if anyone has same problem, but jacket won't turn back on unless you unplug the battery and then plug it back in. ?? No way to contact the company???? Can't ask questions on this product either???

I bought this for walking my dog and just general cold weather in Colorado and New Mexico. I'm 5'4, 120 lbs and bought the smallest possible but it's a bit too big for me. I have a Gerbing heated jacket for motorcycling and was told the only way to feel the heat is if it touches your body - and not through something too thick. I wear that under my riding gear and it works like a charm. I feel some warmth from this jacket if I don't wear something too thick but otherwise I don't feel much b/c it's too roomy. If I throw a large jacket over it then I feel heat b/c it's hugging me. Bear this in mind. The inconvenience point is that you have to unplug the battery each time after wearing or the next time it won't turn on. I wonder how many people returned it thinking it didn't work. I've had the jacket a few months now and it is working fine but just not what I had hoped. I've decided a heated vest is the way to go; something light that is warm and if it's winter I can always wear a jacket over it. For the above item I only have like 1-2 jackets large enough to fit over it. I do like the interchangeable velcro patches. I bought a couple cool ones rather than the ones it came with. You cannot turn the light off while it's still working but that doesn't bother me. It's cold out - who's going to stop you and notice your light, plus if it's light out it's hard to see the light anyway. oh and another point, after about 5-10 min it drops down a level from high to medium. I was put off by this at first however I like it now because if I'm walking, by then I'm warmer anyway. You can always turn it up if you start feeling cold. If it's a good fit for you, you will like this jacket.

The heat stays on for about 4 hours on high. The coat is made well. The patches are a little strange, but maybe was meant for people working security or some official capacity where I could see you needing to change out patches. The fit is pretty good. I usually like a large and got a medium based on reviews. I think I would size down one more even if I wanted to layer this. It is fairly wind resistant, but without the heat going I think it would be too lightweight for a cold day. The style is nice it has some shape, not just a big square. Overall I love it enough that I am purchasing another one in the fleece material for layering.

My wife loves the jacket. The way it looks, feels and fits. Heats up nicely for her. She rarely even uses anything more than the low setting. Only problem is at first it seemed to last a few days for her no problem. Uses it to take dogs out. When she runs out and her daily walks. Last few times she charged it and the next day goes to use it and the battery pack is dead or very low. Last time she only used it for maybe a half an hour tops on low. Not sure if it drains when the pack is left plugged in not even in use. Or if for some reason the jacket isn’t actually turning off. She tried fully charging and using it then unplugging the pack. And after a thirty minute use the next day. It said 9%. The jacket other than that is fantastic. Have to figure out the battery issue. Possibly a defective battery pack
