We have cocker spaniels newborns, mom barely has any milk despite lots of water, chicken soup, calcium and protein supplements! Using the Leesburg homemade formula with these! Pups have no problem at all latching on and staying latched, and No Issues with fluid in the lungs like other bottles and nipples. This is the only one I found in 20 years of breeding and I will continue to order more as needed. She even sent me a package of her new nipples to try, they as work fantastic!!     • BEST Bottle & Nipple Replacement for Puppies!!!

The media could not be loaded. I have been a professional dog breeder for over 30 years. I have tried every bottle and nipple available to feed puppies that required bottle feeding. It has always been challenging and never really successful… Until I tried these nipples!! The nipples are shaped like an actual momma dog’s nipples which makes it easier for the puppies to latch on and want to stay latched on! The milk does not come out of a single hole but instead seeps thru the entire nipple tip much like what happens in a real nipple during nursing! I ordered a set of the large nipples and was pleasantly surprised that the seller also included a set of the small nipples & syringes too! And I’m sooooo glad the seller did! I am currently needing to use the small nipples with the 20ml syringe that comes with the large nipples. The puppy I am currently feeding with these nipples needs the small nipples but she drinks more the amount that fits in the syringe that comes with the small nipples. The small syringe is 5ml and the puppy takes about 12ml for each feeding. I have already told other breeders about these nipples and recommend them to any breeding program that might need them! I got the large nipples for Great Dane puppies, and the sizing is great, but here are some things to improve upon since the maker said they were still in that process. :) - They didn’t want to take to it at first, and some never did. I’m sure if this were used with every single meal from the start they might, as 2 out of 3 of the smallest pups got used to it. This litter seemed to take to the syringe nozzle better than the nipple, but I’m not going to give up trying. - I wonder if they got too much air when they were sucking and it put them off or caused their stomachs to feel full faster, since the nipple is basically a specially formed makeup sponge (which is a fairly good idea!) - If you put the syringe sideways the milk collects in the larger part of the bulb and drips out, which can be messy and wasteful. I thought of combining a baby bottle with the sponge nipple tip, and am going to give that a try tomorrow! - The sponge definitely gets torn up easily by claws or later on, teeth. Which might be fixed by the bottle nipple over it - again I have yet to try it. - The syringe could be better quality. The measurements rubbed off on my hand about the 3rd day of using it, and the rubber plunger keeps stuttering or getting stuck when drawing milk up (without the nipple applied obviously, lol). This causes air to be sucked up instead of milk, the rubber plunger to come off in the syringe which needs tweezers to remove, or the plunger assembly to shoot out of the syringe spraying formula everywhere with it. I’ve taken to using a drop of extra virgin olive oil on the plunger and sides which seems to help. Maybe try to coat the larger/bulbous portion of the nipple in a tougher, “water proof” coating? Maybe like they make bottle nipples out of! If you could make it function with a bottle that might be advantageous as well! ... show more

I bought these after seeing someone else post them on a Fb Group. They work so great for my little dachshund puppies. Two of my boys are a bit on the smaller size and are not getting a good latch with the mom’s nipples. They have latched well with these and it’s the simplest supplement tool I’ve used for my pups! I have been breeding Yorkshire Terriers for a few years now, and this product was recommended to me by some of my breeder friends. I normally do not take time to write reviews, but this one is worth writing about. I have used many feeding bottles and nipples before, but this by far is the best I ever used. I am feeding a runt and the little guy took to it so easy and loves it. .I love that he will nurse off mom as well because the nipple feels like her. He is gaining weight and doing great because of this feeder. Highly recommend! PROS: Able to put back on mom no problem, and no aspiration. CONS: He is getting to be more of an aggressive eater and sometimes the nipple starts to slip off, but that can happen with any nipple, I just have to push it back on. If you need this in a hurry, forget it. There is no prime on this product so it took about a week to get, so buy before you have a litter. ... show more
