Format: the mockingbird & THE CROW [Explicit]

Description

Limited black and white colored vinyl LP pressing. The follow up to debut album A Rock, one of the New York Times Best Albums of 2020 all-genre and a Billboard Best Country Album of 2020, The Mockingbird & The Crow is one of the most highly-anticipated sophomore albums in the country format. Hardy has made his mark as ''a promising purveyor of keeping the spirit of classic heavy Southern rock alive'' (American Songwriter), a juggernaut artist-writer whose influence has already changed the sound and style of the genre. With his second full-length LP, he charges into uncharted territory, marrying country and rock in a two-part, 17-track duality showcase, mastering the sounds and themes of both the influences he grew up listening to with the life he grew up living.

    • Good CD; bad service
Great mixture of rock, heavy metal and country, but Amazon really dropped the ball in the shipping. The album was cracked in several places that I had to order a replacement jewel case to store the disc and booklet in. This is now, on my account, 3 times I have had this happen to me ordering CDs from here. Buyer beware. They need to do a better job handling stuff. ... show more

    • Bit Of A Surprise (Country + Rock)
Hardy is quite the original mixing the two genres of country and rock. I did (and do) prefer his country tunes, but his rock efforts are surprisingly good too. I could have done without some of the cussing, but the songwriting as expected from Hardy is well above average.
