Description

Waxwork Records is excited to present the deluxe debut vinyl release of STEPHEN KING'S IT Original Television Motion Picture Soundtrack. Over a year in the making, Waxwork has worked closely with Warner Bros., author Stephen King, and composer Richard Bellis to deliver a stunning triple LP set featuring the complete soundtrack from the original 1990 TV miniseries. Stephen King's IT 1990 TV movie is a film adaptation of the 1986 horror novel by the same title. The story follows the experiences of seven children known as "The Losers' Club" as they are terrorized by an entity that exploits the fears and phobias of it's victims to disguise itself while hunting it's prey. "It" primarily appears in the human form of a sadistic, wisecracking clown by the name of Pennywise The Dancing Clown. The expansive score by composer and conductor Richard Bellis features a range of classic orchestral cues and electronic music and sound effects by usage of synthesizers. Bellis won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music Composition for a mini-series for his work on the film. Waxwork Records is proud to include the complete soundtrack for the very first time on vinyl.

  • Wonderful soundtrack! Unpredictable, creepy, jamming, sweet, melancholy, and forces you to remember each scene thoroughly! WANT!
If one day I am lucky enough to possess the CD that I oh so strive to obtain, I will cherish it forever, for the music has been an inspiration to me in everyday life for about three years and going. The music Richard Bellis created for the IT miniseries is so phenomenal it gives me shivers and it is unpredictable as well as full of heart, while at the same time not being so "old" that it sounds completely cheesy. People argue with me that the new 2017 IT is the far better adaptation, and I do love it, however, the original gives me such a gritty, creepy feeling instead of being loaded with computer effects and CGI, not to mention the many jump scares that became fairly repetitive; I also wonder why the time period was changed completely as well as why they made the design on the clown really creepy to begin with. What kid is going to speak to, let alone approach a clown that looks like that? Tim Curry's Pennywise was a tricky bastard and drew his prey in very well, and the background music makes his scenes haunting and unforgettable. I must mention I love the 2017 soundtrack, but I am dying to own the 2 disc version of this. I am a college student, so money is very tight for me, but if I find a deal I am going for it! When you love something this much, you put all you have towards it. ... show more
