This is a great pattern if you happen to have a little one (my Grandgirl) who is over the moon about unicorns. This quilt is a lot of fun to make. The instructions are complete enough. I think they assume a basic knowledge of applique and quilting. If you're new to applique, and you're expecting this pattern to teach you everything you need to know, then I think you'll be disappointed.     • Easily Adaptable
This pattern can be used "as is" or can be easily adapted to a custom size. I adapted the pattern to a "throw" size and used some of the pattern pieces while designing others of my own. It's fun and colorful and easy to navigate.

Even though I haven't yet made this, the pattern is very precise and complete. There are many size options and I can't wait to get started.

    • A little disappointed
There are two sizes of the unicorn block included. One size is printed on each side of the paper, meaning you cannot use a light box or window to help in tracing the pieces. Also, you must tape four pages together to create the papers.

This is a really fun pattern. But, I wouldn't do freezer paper applique again. I have many patterns from Becky Goldsmith and love them all.
