Features

  • Efficient Splitting Ideal for Small Soft Dry Woods: This firewood splitter drill bit enables quick wood splitting, working best on small soft dry woods (e.g., kindling, thin logs). It boosts splitting efficiency but note its not suitable for hard/wet/large logstoo dense or moist wood may resist splitting, ensuring you use it on matching material for best results
  • Perfect for Soft Woods Avoid Hard/Knotty Types: The log splitter delivers excellent performance on soft dry wood (pine); we dont recommend it for hardwood (oak)/knotty wood/wet wood. For logs around 20cm wide, split multiple times, and always hold wood in place to prevent it from rotating with the bitkeeping operation safe and effective
  • Easy to Operate Correct Drilling Tips: Master use with simple steps: drill straight from edge (never start at the center first), avoid angling. For logs over 20cm in diameter, first use other tools to split them in half, then use this bitsaving time and effort. Follow these tips to get smooth results like the demo video
  • 32mm+45mm Bits + 4 Handles Wide Drill Compatibility:The set includes 32mm+45mm wood splitter drills and 4 handles (Round/Square/3/8 Hex/1/4 Hex). It fits various power drills: hammer drill/impact drill/corded/cordless drill. Match the right drill to soft dry wood, and youll complete splitting tasks effortlessly
  • High Carbon Steel Power Recommendations: Crafted from high carbon steel, the bits are impact resistant/wear resistantsharp heads penetrate wood easily, no breakage. For 45mm bits (heavy-duty use), pair with a hammer drill; 32mm bits (light use) need 750W electric drills or 500W hand drills. Not suitable for impact drills with only pure electric function or three-jaw clamping bits

  • High quality and works!!
These are perfect for what they are. I actually assemble a make shift log splitter with this and a dewalt drill. Works wonderfully for far less than an actual log splitter. Comes with multiple bits and fits any drill. Best bang for buck on the market. Strong and sturdy makes me feel confident using it. ... show more

  • More of a log shaver than a splitter
The product description and name for this log splitter are somewhat in conflict with how these bits must be used. It is possible to split a large softwood log with an impact drill, which is the tool that should be used instead of a high torque drill that might break your wrist. When I used a standard battery-powered drill, the bit reached about a half-inch into the log before it completely locked up. The way the steel shank screws into the splitter means that reverse cannot be used to remove the bit if it gets stuck, because that action only unscrews the shank. Although the description mentions that only small pieces of wood should be used, this can be dangerous because small pieces must be held to keep them steady. I found that this tool is better suited for shaving kindling off the edges of large pieces of wood to get a fire started. I managed to split in half the log that I have in the image attached by using the large splitter and an impact drill with the quarter inch shank, although this process took a little patience. A small amount of sawdust is generated when the drilling first starts, but the tool starts splitting once the robust threads get a good hold into the wood. These steel bits and shanks feel sturdy, although the tool does not work on hardwood at all. Even when trying to shave kindling off the edges of hardwood, the aggressive cutting edges cause the drill to lock up quickly. The term log splitter is generally understood to mean a tool that can split a log into halves (or thirds/quarters), which makes the title misleading. The price is high for something that only shaves logs and does not actually split them. This was purchased with the hope of breaking large logs apart to fit into a wood stove, but that is a task that would require shaving many pieces off a log to succeed at. The value is below average for a product that fails to actually split logs. ... show more

  • Surprisingly capable drill bit splitters that get the job done
I picked up this two pack of log splitter drill bits and put them to work with my DeWalt 20V impact driver, and the results were genuinely impressive for a quick and convenient splitting solution. The set includes both the 32mm and 45mm cone bits plus four drill adapters, which gives you good flexibility depending on the size and hardness of the log you are working with. In practice, the smaller 32mm bit did get stuck in one log, but rather than forcing it I simply backed out the adapter, switched to the larger 45mm bit, and everything split apart perfectly from there. That experience actually highlights a good workflow tip: start with the smaller bit for easier or thinner logs, and reach for the larger one when you need more splitting force. I have only worked through a handful of logs so far, but the bits have powered through each one without any real drama. A couple of practical notes worth sharing for anyone picking these up. First, you will want a good way to keep the log from spinning while you work, whether that is a vice, a notch in another piece of wood, or just a helper holding it in place. Second, the torque these bits generate is real, so you need strong enough wrists and a firm grip to resist the drill wanting to spin out of your hand. The product photos show these being used with a hammer drill, which is probably the ideal tool for this application, though my impact driver handled the task well. A corded or more powerful drill would likely perform even better on larger or harder pieces. Overall this is a great tool to have around for quick splitting needs without dragging out a full size log splitter. Good value, solid carbon steel construction, and a versatile set of bits and adapters. Easy five star recommendation. ... show more
