It is a nice way to add Ambience to a dark room. I question why the stars on all of these units are green instead of white. You can always disable the star function though. I wish this model would have had the moon projection included in the spiral Galaxy multicolor effect. Also, the remote control for these units affect other units and other products due to the limited bandwidth frequency allotted to this type of remote control. A remote control from one unit will cause changes in other units in the room. No big deal but something to consider if you tend to buy these relatively inexpensive gadgets to brighten up your life. ... show more

We bought this for my 6 year old and he is obsessed. It fills almost his whole ceiling and he loves having control with the remote. We use it on a 1 hr timer as he falls asleep every night. I wish the star pattern was a little more random instead of looking like organized lines but honestly for the price and for a 6 year old it’s amazing. You get what you pay for. Throws a decent light, the different modes for color switching are nice (solid or shifting between white, blue, green, and red). Plastic does feel cheap, speaker is muffled and brings back some odd nostalgia of my cassette players of childhood. I mainly got it as mood lighting for movie or game nights, and it serves that purpose well. Having a remote to manually turn on and off is also a plus. ... show more

This is the second one trying out. The first unit a Rosetta did not perform as advertised. This unit is very nice. Can place anywhere in the room and aim it where you want and center it on the ceiling. The movement of the colors is great. Personally I like the deep blue on the slow speed and the brightness on low and the stars fade in and out nicely. Of course it was a little more money, but it actually does as advertised. Does fill a 12x14 ceiling and the upper portion of the walls with a nice light. Just take the time to find the perfect spot and adjust the proper aim in the dark. We found aiming the center on the bedroom ceiling fan works great. With the white fan blade’s going around gave it a extra affect and reflection. Good decent product. Very enjoyable. Great for those spontaneous romantic nights under the stars. ... show more

My son got this for Easter, and was SO excited. The stars are great. Wish they could be on constant instead of fading in and out, but not a big deal. The bigger disappointment is the dimmer function doesn't work for the galaxy projection. He loves the look of it, but it's too bright for bedtime. If the dimmer worked, it would be excellent! ... show more

Ok I was skeptical. There's NO WAY it would look as awesome as in the advertising photos. But it does!! My kid loves it, he keeps saying "thank you SO MUCH. This is the best." Bonus I didn't read the description there's a flipping Bluetooth speaker on it!!! So now we not only have a super cool night light that changes colors, is portable (after it's charged), but we also have a speaker. Love this purchase! ... show more
