I’m recovering from open heart surgery and I thought drinking smoothies would be a lot easier for me to eat healthy instead of trying to get down a bunch of fruits and vegetables separately. Getting a personal blender is precisely what I needed to make smoothies for myself. The Beast Mini arrived well packed. All of the components feel substantial and well made. I washed the parts before putting them to use. A straw and blade cleaning brushes are included, however I needed to use my bottle brush cleaner to clean the blending vessel. I ended up using my bottle brush to wash the blender blades too. There are no recipes included with the blender. Thankfully, The Beast website has a bunch of easy to make recipes available. The first smoothie I made was a strawberry banana smoothie. Unfortunately, the banana I put must have been too big as the blending vessel became full before I put all of the strawberries in. The recipes should specify the ingredient weight so these kind of problems don’t happen. Of course the smoothie ended up having too much banana flavor for my liking, but it was still decent. The blender made quick work of the ingredients and the ice. The smoothie was ready in one minute. I’m looking forward to making more smoothies and perfecting a few recipes for my healthy diet. ... show more

My old smoothie blender broke, so I was looking for a new one. I was not expecting much, but this mini blender has several surprises up. First of all it is heavy- in the way products used to be made back in the day when you bought a gadget and it lasted a lifetime. Second, it is incredibly well made and with high-quality materials. The blender has one blending cup that doubles as your to-go cup by simply switching from the blade cap to one of the other caps- closing or straw perforated. There are 2 reusable plastic straws and a cleaning brush included. There are 2 buttons: 1 to turn the power on, 1 to blend. The blender has a beast motor that will liquify pretty much anything you put into it. It works great. Cleaning up is easy, although you must be careful with the blade- it is sharp. ... show more

Despite being marketed as a single-serve blender, my experience has shown that it can effectively blend a full serving of smoothie shared by two people, making it perfect for pair indulgence. In the user manual, it's advised that a minimum of one-third of your ingredients should consist of liquids to ensure a seamless blending process. I've observed that this recommendation indeed useful in achieving consistently successful blends. It's worth noting that most recipes call for even more liquid ingredients than the recommended one-third proportion. I've found that this blender handles recipes, such as those printed on frozen fruit bags, with ease, as these recipes usually involve the use of water or milk. One of the standout features for me is the inclusion of a set of storage lids, a drinking lid, and a straw cap. I’m not too happy about how it blends. I made a smoothie with banana, apple, oatmeal and water and even after running it twice the apple skin wasn’t totally blended. I also don’t like the fact that the extremely sharp blades are exposed for cleaning and drying after use. Where are you supposed to put the blades to dry? It would make more sense for the top of the jar to open and keep the blades safely enclosed. The ribbed interior of the jar is also apt to keep bits of fruit stuck and hard to clean. Why isn’t the interior smooth? I’ll try it a couple of times more before my window to return closes. ... show more

I have a Vitamix, which is an awesome blender, but it doesn't do a great job for small batches. For instance, when making pesto or chimichurri for a single dish, I usually just make a small amount. However, in the Vitamix, much of what I'm blending gets stuck under the blades due to the small amount. That's where the Mini Beast comes in. I was able to make some chimichurri for some steaks without getting the big Vitamix out and it did a great job. It just took a few seconds to blend the chimichurri to my preferred consistency. The packaging and build quality lead me to believe this will last a long time. Definitely recommend for a small household or for those small jobs. ... show more

By far the most beautiful blender I've ever owned. Design is sleek and pleasing to the eye. Very easy to use without all the dials and settings, it's straight to the point, press and blend. Now if I only have a kitchen that will live up to this good looking thing. It doesn't take up a lot of space and will be great for small kitchens too. I love that it comes with different lids, one for storing your freshly blended drink (or whatever it is you've blended) if you're saving it for later, and one for sipping straight from the vessel with a straw. They've also included 2 reusable straws and a straw cleaning brush..how thoughtful. The only con was deciding which color to get because I could only choose one. They all look so good! ... show more

While looking for a personal-sized blender to make daily smoothies, I came across this one and it's so nice! The quality is very good. It's well made with clear instructions for use. I also love the straw feature and lid for storage. The 1 minute timer is awesome. It even pauses a couple of times within the minute to allow the stuff at the top to fall down. Very clever feature. And in the end it blends things so smoothly! Then you can drink it right from the blender instead of getting another thing dirty. The size is also perfect for a single serving.
