This is my top read for 2022. You find yourself in the emotions of this family wondering how to deal within your family - you do it with open arms and grace. Melanie Moreland touched on each corner of this blended family to give a well-rounded journey. Character-Driven Romance - That is what the first book of The Contract series was. The arc of character change for the hero that slowly and artfully was written for him to accept and be loved. The second, a novella, gave what readers asked for - an epilogue into the future. When readers continued to ask her for more books with this couple, book 3 came out with a shake-up. An accident that can change things in the blink of an eye and builds character strength in this couple. When more messages and comments on social media from readers for another book, how can the author bring another storyline to give our beloved characters more to grow from - This book. Rather than taking the easy way with a continuation of the couple's story by showing us their HEA as all sunshine and roses, Mrs. Moreland has given the characters a situation to deal with and grow. Instead of painting with broad strokes through rose-colored glasses, she wrote her characters with flaws. Maybe not handling this new situation perfectly - but with the bumps and warts of human emotion that on a level, readers can react to. This book is so many love stories. The love story of a couple and how they keep the romance fires burning. The love story of family those bonds and how to not take sides but open arms in welcome. The love story of the friendship of your found family and how they stick with you when the waters become troubled. The love story of finding your soulmate and how they support you as you are not the best version of yourself. Bravo Melanie for writing the story you wanted to tell. My heart was a bit bruised in parts. This new, bigger and better family made it all worthwhile. If you loved book 1 and don't wish to delve into more storylines that challenge the characters to grow more, stop there. No one says you have to read beyond it. But if you trust the author to bring you a story - a page-turning journey that will give you exactly a challenge to the characters, then trust her when she says: No cheating. And always a happily ever after. I cried. I laughed. I held these characters' hands. Often I found myself answering "What would I do if in their shoes?" with a resounding - I am sure I wouldn't have handled myself with as much grace. This is the perfect sunset and lifelong love story of a beloved couple. Their capacity to love and be inclusive of new people is something we should all strive for. Heartfelt stories. I liked all 4 books. Richard was so great. Made me wish I had one just like him. Enjoyed reading The Contract series.

This book had me so emotional! I laughed, got mad, and cried all the way through this book!! The whole series was amazing. I can't wait to read more from Melanie Moreland!!!

Richard has another life changing moment when who he had been comes roaring out into his present. Only this time it shakes the whole family. But with Katy by his side, and the entire BAM family in their corner, there is nothing that can't be made right in time. Grab tissues and be ready to cry and laugh as you catch up with this bid wonderful blended family, and all your favorite characters! And if you missed out in any back stories, you can certainly read The Contract series, VestedInterest series and ABC Corp as their own sets; but the best way is to start with The Contract and The Baby Clause. Then read the first four Vested Interest books (Bentley, Aiden, Maddox, Reid), The Amendment, the last of the Vested Interest series (Van, Halton, Sandy). A Very Vested Wedding starts the next generation of ABC Corp/BAM. My Saving Grace, Finding Ronan's Heart, Loved by Liam, The Age of Ava, The Addendum (as this takes place after Ava and Hunter's story), and then Sunshine & Sammy. You won't be disappointed!

I was super excited to see a fourth book in this series. I absolutely loved it and Melanie did a phenomenal job. So many emotions throughout the book and many different POVs. Expect love, laughter, secrets, steam, and tears. Richard is finally retiring and plans to enjoy his life with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He just has to get through a few more meetings and his daughter Heather's wedding. However, things become more complicated when part of his past throws a huge curveball. Now, Richard has to adjust to this new change and hope it doesn't cause problems within his family. He has to juggle his life and deal with all the emotions he is feeling as well as focus on his family. With the help of his friends/ blended family by his side, there is nothing he can't overcome. I truly loved this novel. It drew me in from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down. Extremely well-written, with a rollercoaster of emotions from all the characters. I highly recommend this book and the whole series. You will not be disappointed.

Thank you Melanie for writing the next chapter of Richards' life. We all have a past that we totally forget about. Richard is a totally different wonderful man, husband and Father. But was an awful human being in his youth, because of how he was raised and abused. He and Katy handled this situation like the team they had grown to be. Loved Matthew. Hope his story Will be next. I loved this story. I read the previous books about Richard and all the BAM men a few years ago. This story bought Richard and Katy story full circle. Loved the way they teamed up to welcome a new addition to their Family and extended Family. They are a strong love fantasy team. Please keep this fantasy family story going.

No one weaves a story like Melanie Moreland ! I loved this continuation of The Contract. Just when You think Richard and Katy's story is complete, Ms. Moreland continues to suprise us with an amazing book! I love how her characters are imperfect. Flawed. Human. Please don't read this until you have read the other books.
