    • For most uses, a good product at a good price
Boy, reading some other reviews makes me wonder what folks expect from something as basic as this. I bought one pair and ordered a second pair before even installing the first. Yes, these's some variance in the holes, the fit, the alignment. For me - getting all manner of sizes and shapes of random wood pieces and metal tubing out of my way- these were much cheaper and easier than buying individual shelf brackets. The included hollow wall anchors are a nice touch and should be okay with lighter loads on drywalled applications, but I'd recommend trying to find studs to mount to and use a suitable anchor ( I used "spax" brand wide head screws which usually don't need predrilling.) So...in summation, if you need perfection, look elsewhere. For typical random acts of storage, get 'em. ALSO For the record, I was not asked, prompted nor incentivized in any manner for this review before or after my purchase. There's far too much bs in product reviews. Let's restore honesty and transparency, okay? But hey! I'm ready to help the company behind these improve not only their manufacturing process, but I have some ideas for some value "add ons" .     • Easy and inexpensive way to store lumber

First— toss the mounting hardware and buy lag bolts- the hardware it comes with to secure it to the wall is worthless for wood studs. Once you do that it’s a great product- I have had a significant amount of very heavy hardwood on the rack for a few months now with no issues

    • Gets the job done

This product worked for me. I used some 3" screws rated at ~100lbs sear strength with washers to mount these (not the screws that came with the product). For my purpose I drilled an extra hole on each shelf so I could get 3 screws on each shelf. I have mine loaded up pretty full with 4 3x8 15' beams, some 2x4, 2x6, and shorter 1" boards. I'd guess I have somewhere in the 500-600lbs range on these. They've been up about a month now and no signs of bending or potential failure. They even survived through one small earthquake about 4.0 centered ~15 miles away. I really like how these shelves allow me to stagger them at different heights. My garage doesn't allow me to have these all at the same height. So I have 2 brackets at one height and another 2 offset by the width of one shelf at a lower height. This gives me 3 shelves that span the full width of my mounting setup and one where only 2 brackets create a shelf. It works out great with the different mounting options it allows. I took off one star because these did not come with 3 holes for each bracket. The screws included were also for masonry, not wood and did not have a shear rating listed. When unfolding, the bracket will rub off a little paint. When folding back up after mounting, it will not be flush against the wall and the design of the hinge will mean that it'll gouge your wall. This might be a problem if mounting to masonry as it might mean you can't fold these at all after mounting. On wood or drywall, it'll just indent or scrap in the surface of the wall a couple millimeters. I don't intend to ever fold these, so this isn't a problem for me. ... show more

Nothing is straight, missing several low grade bolts. Everything it’s chipped and bent and none of the holes will line up. Plan on using all your own hardware, re drilling holes, and bending things back.

The brackets are fine for the purpose and the price. Anchors are complete crap, paid $10 to make a $25 product work. Getting pretty sick of spending extra money on Amazon products to make them work like the product description.

This went up quickly. I purchased 3" lag bolts to secure the rack to the suds instead of using the sheetrock anchors that came with it. Looks great and holds all my wood.
