I already had the lamps, but needed this smaller shade which fits perfectly. The shades are a classic linen white, very well made. I would have preferred an ivory color, and pleating, but I had to get what was the only thing available as a clip on shade in that size. Regardless of that fact, at night they cast a warm glow, a little bright, but the first picture really doesn't do them justice. They really show off the wood grain of my sideboard. I should also have taken a daytime photo. In the daytime, the white color tends to stand out. Thus the 4 stars instead of 5. I may need to tone it down with a different bulb if that is possible. I like the 4-way clip on feature because it holds the bulbs in place, although that could make it problematic when trying to use a lower wattage bulb. Also, I am changing out the art work on the wall and would have preferred to show that art which will be one framed canvas which will look very different than what is shown here, and it will sit lower on the wall, but alas it won't be available for a few more weeks. ... show more

I needed a lamp shade for a lamp I bought at the thrift store. The clips that go directly over the bulb make this so you can fit on any lamp. The textured Oatmeal color paired with a warm bulb gives the perfect amount of warmth.
