    • -25 f is Warm for cold weather camping! Not very wide. Zipper issues
I slept in this bag (-25 f), tent camping, wearing a pair of thermals at 40 degrees f, and I was comfortable - a little warm by morning. You would to sleep in need more layers at lower temps. I was on a cot with a 2" thick XL Thermarest Basecamp pad. Pros: Comfy and warm. Well made. The 7-pound weight makes it only suitable for "car camping," but that's all I will need it for. Nice to have a bag that is not a mummy because I am claustrophobic. Comes with a stuff sack. (You will need to STUFF it back in, not roll it and slide it in). Good price for a warm bag. Cons: The advertised width is from outside seam to outside seam. It is narrower inside. It fit me, a small person, with a little wiggle and turning room, but I would not recommend this for a larger person. The zipper kept getting hung up on the inside material. Not a problem to fix in the daylight, but a bit of a pain in the middle of the dark night. ... show more

Bought two -25 bags for Colorado camping for my wife and I. ivy and lagoon are both great looking. In addition to being good looking bags, they are warm. I don’t see my self needing any additional layers for anything -10 to 10 degrees. Should meet all my needs for ski related camping as well. Of course I might wear a hat on those cold nights. Looks like all other reviews are for the zero degree bag. Get this bag if: - you are allergic to down (or allergic to expensive bags) - you don't want to worry about having a warm shelter to sleep in (small tent, snow shelter etc.) - you don't want to have to try to squeeze extra warmth out of a bag not rated for the temps you are in, using liners, etc. - you are okay with a massively bulky bag This is a massive, bulky bag, but it does pack up into a string sack. I didn't receive a compression sack, though I don't think it can compress much anyway. Getting it rolled up to go in the sack is damn near impossible because of the slippery polyester it is made of, so I just shove it in there. The only competitor at this price point is a canvas-lined one that "doesn't fold in half", so this wins on portability. I have slept comfortably in -15 degree temps using a zero degree bag, liner, small tent, extra tarp, and shopping bags tied to my feet, but I find this to be worth it., ... show more

This is a great bag, I've had mine for a year. The zipper is sturdy, but came off in the wash. A pair of pliers fixed it. I superglued the zipper after that. Admittedly I used it pretty heavily, sleeping in it every day for a year.

I bought this for my daughter for summer camp. I springed for the higher priced lower temp version. It's attractive (nice color) and came in a nice box (inside of a plain box). So it felt like a gift. The issue is it's HUGE. So large my daughter could barely wrap her arms around it. I don't know why it says it's for kids. Maybe big, giant kids? This is too big even for me...at almost 5' 8" tall and medium to small build. You better have a lot of space in the car if you're packing one of these babies. Next, just try to get it back into the sack. It's so big and slippery that it's comically difficult. I had to tie it. Why not include straps or bungy cords or something to help us out? I sent it back and bought one that's so much smaller and is easy to carry, stuff, and transport. ... show more

Zipper does jam a little, but overall this is a great bag for camping where you drive up to your camp spot. It is huge compared to lightweight backpacking bags.
