I have purchased so many air mattresses I was extremely skeptical about this one because of its not being very thick. I opened it up and it was ok to inflate, just did the CPR push on the internal bladder it uses to air it up. I struggle with my hip hurting when I sleep because I am a side sleeper and I was worried about this being painful to use. I used it this past weekend on the back of a utility trailer made of a wood floor. When I aired it up it aired up quickly and it seemed comfortable at about 3 inches thick but I had my doubts. I have used the really thick air mattresses before and by the end of the night the air cooled off and it was like it deflated because of the loss of volume of air. My wife and I slept on it for 2 nights and it was by far the most comfortable air mattress I have used in years and there was no loss of volume so it never acted like it deflated. The only draw back was the noise when you rolled over but it was tolerable. Great little mattress for the cost and I would highly recommend it.

For a pad this is really comfortable and light weight. Easy to inflate, my only gripe is that the foot pump doesn’t inflate the built in pillows so it sort of defeats the purpose of the “foot pump” if you have to buy a pump. However, it’s way lighter and more compact than a traditional air mattress and is geared toward camping/emergency preparedness/travel. Buy a small battery operated pump to pair with this purchase, it’ll save you time!

We used this mattress on a bed at a rental and totally happy with results. It was a foot pump and so easy to set up and very stable and comfortable for sleeping on current bed mattress due to softness.

Sleeping comfortably camping is a must. However large inflatable mattresses take up a ton of space for storage, are super heavy and most deflate a bit overnight. I call this the perfect compromise because this takes up very little space storage wise, has a built in foot pump so no need for additional gear and I’d say is more comfortable than a giant inflatable mattress. I originally wanted something that is raised a little higher to be more visually pleasing when looking at the setup, but I couldn’t justify anything else in comparison to cost, storage and function. Also, it folds back up and easily fits into its storage bag in minutes. The built in pillows also is a great perk saving storage and the need for additional gear.
