I'm an hvac/R technican that deals with having to leak search refrigerant lines almost on the daily.. Using a an electric sniffer can get your in the right area quickly but if it's inside the cabinet or coil a general area is all you will get with refrigerant in the air playing with your sensors which can drive you crazy and take alot of time... Until now that is.. With this thermal imaging camera you just point and look for the cold spot and with in seconds you found the leak.. Dont be alarmed if it won't connect to your app right away as mine didn't either.. Just be sure you have your wifi and Bluetooth on before you turn it on.. If you don't have the wifi on it will attempt to pair but will just leave you starring at the screen.🙄. I had to delete the device from the app. Turn on wifi and Bluetooth, open the testo app. Then turn on the camera.. Within seconds it found it and started an update for the camera software.. Now it works flawlessly.. They don't tell you any of that in the start up guide.. It works better than the flir that kept falling off my phone.. Seeing as I have a complete set of testo Bluetooth probes, guages, and the scale which integrate perfectly with the app the thermal imaging camera from testo was a no brainer.. I know you young guys want to spend all your money on fieldpiece but take it from me their smart app fails in. Comparison to the testo.. ... show more

1. It works. 2. It’s not glitching and picture smooth (for thermal camera, don’t think it’s 4k😅) 3. It’s good alternative to Flir Edge. 4. Price is main issue. 5. Well made body, very solid. Caught it about 350$, more fair price for this device.

Size: 860i Kit w/Case
This is a very powerful tool, and quite compact. The hardware is sturdy and small - just a bit longer than a phone, which spring clip that holds the sensor to the back of the phone. The app loaded on the phone communicates with the camera over bluetooth, and the camera sends the thermal image data to the app. The app has many different modes, for different applications, which display data differently. For example, the thermography mode shows a heat map, and a hot/cold A/C mode shows the hottest and coldest points, for use when working on air conditioners. There are probably 15 more modes, many of which I don't understand. ... show more

It was very easy to set up with my old I-phone and I was impressed with the results.
