  • Kids love this
I love the idea of this giant 3 strap hammock and the idea of 3 adults or a mess of kids can play and lay around on it but it isn't easy to get the right configuration, especially in the mountains with varying elevations, specifically at our cabin. We have lots of trees but finding the right three takes some work and tinkering - tightening one strap, then another to get a taught level hammock. In sloping back yard, one of the straps is at the base of one tree, the other straps are 6 feet off the ground and 13 feet on another tree. I am not satisfied with the trees I have been using and will look for another configuration as this set up wasn't very comfortable due leveling issues. The hammock and straps seem to be well stitched and the materials quite durable; the ratcheting straps are solid and have quite a reach. The escape hatch in the middle was fun for the kids. The hatch features a zippered pocket to store small items. There are hard points to mount a tent, mosquito net or canopy on this but I don't see it being comfortable unless one finds the perfect arrangement of anchor points - usually trees. I like that I have it but I am not sure I would buy it again should it be stolen or damaged. Who knows, maybe I might if I find the right spot and fall in love but right now, I mostly bought it for the kids. I am perfectly happy to go to my traditional, very simple to hang, hammocks. ... show more

  • Fantastic product, but forget about customer support, let alone customer service from Tentsile.
Amazon is great the product is fantastic i can't tell you how much fun and how much abuse this can take. The down side is extremely poor product support from Tentsile. I own a few different Tentsile tents and i pushed my connect past it's limits but far. I needed a small repair, and am very willing to pay for it and can't even get s person to contact me back. Wanted to buy a Trillium xl on there website during a special it took so long to get a generic reply that the sale had ended as well as the stick depleted this took 10 days to get told they were out of stock and to kick rocks. Never once did they address my purchase i had wanted to make and the repair i had requested now that somebody finally contacted me back. Etc etc, long story short seriously awesome equipment, you will turn heads get a projector for additional camp site fun, whatever you do don't buy the stealth tent that's a complete trash design. If you can deal with Tentsile and the fact they wouldn't know customer service if it smacked them upside the head. Then this product is for you you won't be disappointed ... show more

  • which is cool. I set it up a couple times in ...
When I first heard about Tentsile, I was extremely excited about it but never thought I would be able to afford it. Luckily, they came out with the Trillium which fit my needs perfectly! It is larger than I thought it would be and much more durable than I expected being that it is made out of mesh and seat belt straps. The mesh looks nearly identical to the mesh on the seats in my 2006 Toyota Tacoma TRD, which is cool. I set it up a couple times in the park behind my house and was surprised by how quickly I was able to get it setup. It immediately drew attention from many of the joggers/cyclists whizzing by in the park. The next time I set it up, I set it up as high as I possibly could and bought a climbing ladder to get my but up there. Perfect. Later on, I took the Trillium to Arkansas on a bike-packing trip with some friends. I utilized a Kelty Noah's Tarp 20 as a massive 20'X20' canopy that covered the Trillium and our camp site. All 4 of us were able to hang out in this thing, high and dry. Overall, this is a great product. I am looking into buying another so I can stack them on top of each other and eventually quit my job and live in the trees. ... show more

  • Good but the ratchet is a garbage.
I won't go in to the positives other people mentioned in the review.. It is pretty cool thing to have in your backyard. Just like someone mentioned before. the stitching on this thing is all over the place. It makes me think even I can sew better than this.. Does it still work, yeah. Does it bother me? Yeah, little bit. But my main complain is the fact that tie down ratchet it comes with is a garbage. It does its job but it is a pain to loosen it. Unlocking tab is metal and hard to push down. You have to have fingers of steel to push down the tab. I had to use large screw driver to loosen it. I went to Costco and bought a set of tie down ratchets and replaced it. It uses different type of locking mechanism and has protective rubbers to make it easier to use, ... show more

  • Happy overall, stitching looks cheap.
It is a nice product and it seems durable. We've only had it for a short time though. I am not very pleased with the craftsmanship, the stitchings are very wavy which looks real cheap. For this price it could be done nicer.

  • I LOVE my Trillium Hammock
I’ve owned my trillium for a year now and use it all the time. I liked it so much that I bought the tentsile connect tree tent as well so I can stack them for the best camping experience ever. The trillium is perfect for afternoon chillin and holds 3 or 4 ppl comfortably. Set up is easy if u have the perfect trees and can take as little as 5 min. Sometimes you can’t find the perfect trees and you can’t set it up at all. I got the black mesh which is great for Florida because it’s breathable and also has more “give” to it so is more comfortable than the green tarp model. I have the green tarp style on my connect tent. I saw other reviews talking about the mesh ripping- don’t be dump and snag it on the metal rachett straps. I always keep my shoes on and you can fully stand up on it. It’s super strong and has a 1000lbs weight capacity. If you can’t tell, I highly recommend getting a trillium hammock. ... show more

  • Fun hammock
Color: Black Mesh Style: Generation 3
We bought this for our kid’s birthday to have more fun stuff outdoors during the summer of COVID. A 13.5x13.5x13.5 hammock is bigger than you would think. The slack line tension system works great and it is a solid platform. Takes 10-15 minutes to put up or take down by yourself. We have a rope ladder to get up to it but if you have it lower you can pull up through the middle or one of the edges. It says 3 adults and gear can fit on it which I believe. We frequently have 5-7 kids aged 8-11 on it. It’s cooler than a tree fort and a lot less work. It’s also portable. ... show more
