  • I will never sleep on the ground again! I will never sleep on the ground again!
Color: Orange
Update: upgraded my rating to 5 stars! After more than 30 nights camped in this thing, I love it more and more! Camp setup and breakdown are fast and easy. Adding an underquilt made all the difference, and with a proper sleeping bag, I have camped comfortably in temperatures as low as 20 degrees and winds up to 50 mph. Windy nights were loud, but otherwise comfortable. I will be purchasing a second one in the upcoming season, for friends, or for when this first one eventually becomes too well loved. Original Review: I’ve used this once so far for a three night camping trip, and it was great! It sets up fast and easy, and comes in a light and compact bag for easy transport. The inside pocket is sewn on backward, but besides that, it appears to be well made. I was pretty nervous to sleep in it, assuming I would wake up at some point after crashing to the ground, but I was pleasantly surprised and stayed suspended without issue. You definitely need an underquilt to stay warm, and I used a sleeping pad as well. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. Cons: -cold at night without something underneath -eyelets for rainfly come undone easily (rainfly stays in place though) -underside of hammock is somewhat transparent, not solid black as pictured Should my opinion change, I will be sure to update my review. ... show more

  • Convenient Convenient
Color: Camo
First impressions (07/23/20) after setting it up in my yard are that its awesome. I originally purchased this for a 2 week backpacking trip in Glacier National park and I'm impressed with it. Only took me about 10 minutes to set up on my first try and I love the way it looks. The interior has two hooks on either end for hanging a light or small electric fan, also has a pocket for your phone and wallet. Comfort is what you'd expect from a hammock 9/10. Durability seems ok, the aluminum poles that hold the hammocks shape have magnetic ends that help keep them together when assembling. The zippper on the bug netting has a little gaurd along it's path to prevent it from snagging on the netting, nice little touch. The actual ropes for suspending the hammock in the air are very nice and convenient plus it comes with aluminum C-clips for easy set up. Also has two super stretchy strings to stake into the ground or tie onto nearby trees to prevent the hammock from spinner over since it is top heavy. I know this product was made and designed in China but I am surprising happy with the over all durability 8/10. Came with everything needed for setup including a nice storage bag. ... show more

  • Great concept, durability unknown yet Great concept, durability unknown yet
Color: Orange
This just came today and I was so excited I immediately set it up. I read a lot of the reviews and some made me cautious but I wanted an all in one hammock. Note that I did use my own tree straps as I love them, but the ones that came with do seem adequate. This hammock was fairly easy to set up, especially if you are familiar with tent set up. Take it slow. To me, nothing appeared more easily rip-able than a backpacker tent. Rushing, forcing, or irritation is what often cause rips. I also set it up in steps and did NOT pre-attach the poles for the mosquito netting or the rainfly before attaching it to my tree straps. This enable me to get my hammock taut enough on my tree straps so the mosquito netting poles did not push inward with the tent. Another thing that has helped me set up previous hammocks is to place something in the hammock (like your pack) to help weigh it down like when you would be in it. This helped with this one as well. The tie downs are a good idea as well to prevent the hammock from flipping when nothing is in there. These should be tied to the ground on the stakes but should NOT be tight. This prevents rips in your hammock or pulling the stake up when you add your weight. The rain fly I also attached by myself starting in one corner before moving on to the next. A review mentioned that the rainfly came off the netting poles easily. If you look in my second picture I fixed this by putting the rain fly on the netting pole (#1) and then the more taut actual hammock strap (#2). The inside of this hammock is very spacious and feels like a one person tent. There are two hooks and a pouch inside. The reason I gave this hammock only 4 stars is that the base fabric (where you lay your body) is quite thin. Not only does this mean adding more layers at night, but I’m fearful that it may not last and have the potential to rip. I am going camping in July and will be trying to use this overnight so I will update with the durability of this option. ... show more

  • Great for overnight stays or lounging Great for overnight stays or lounging
Color: Orange
I purchased this hammock to review. This hammock weighed in at 3.68 pounds and came in a nice rip stop carry bag. The first thing I noticed about this product was the carry bag, it seems to be well thought out and has webbing on the side so you could attach it to the outside of your backpack. When set up the hammock is very spacious and comfortable. I was some what skeptical of the size of the hammock simply because I usually use the longer 11 ft hammocks but because of the way this hammock is designed the length doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. Setup was a breeze and self explanatory, instructions really are not needed if you have any experience at all with hammocks. The hammock setup very easily with the supplied tree straps and the straps are very sturdy. The hammock itself is made of 100% nylon and seems to be very sturdy however you do have to stretch it pretty tight to compensated for some of the stretch from the nylon. The hammock itself is triple stitched and should hold up nicely if taken care of. The bug net is sewed directly onto the hammock and is supported by two aluminum poles. The bug net is made from 100% polyester and is a very fine mesh that even the smallest of insects will not get through. The rainfly is made of a rip stop material and is double stitched and sealed at the seams. This rainfly should have no trouble keeping you dry in a moderate to heavy rain. Now for my opinion on the hammock. Once I got everything adjusted to me I was satisfied with the overall comfort of the hammock. The rainfly looks like it will do a great job of keeping you dry and I accredit some of that to the amount of coverage it provided. It seemed to overhang 4-5 inches over the side of the hammock and about 12 inches on each end of the hammock. Even though it has a descent amount of coverage it still allowed plenty of air to move throughout which is important on a hot July trip like I will be using it on. The build quality of the hammock is probably a 8/10 simply because I feel that the stitching could be improved on some of the tie out points. I feel that this would be a sufficient hammock for a weekend camping trip or backyard lounging but I would probably opt for my lighter rig for deep backcountry backpacking hunts. If you’re looking for a hammock that you can hang up at the campsite and leave it for a couple of days this is probably the hammock for you. If you want something that you can pick miles and miles into the backcountry with and setup every night, this hammock might be more work than you bargained for. In conclusion I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it again for a simple backpacking trip or even for a kid. ... show more

  • Very disappointed 2 Times !!! Very disappointed 2 Times !!!
Color: Orange
I was so excited about getting this in the mail. My husband and I have planned a camping trip for July and Thur was going to help us camp in style and comfort. We are both 60 years old and have bad backs so the hammocks were going to be a life saver. We got the packages and Immediately open them and hung up the product. Once we put on the rain fly we noticed there was a problem. The opening of the rain fly is opposite the opening of the hammock. As evident in the photo you can see the clips on the rain fly correspond to the clips on the Hammock. We knew we had done it right because everything clicked together right. But when you open the rain fly zipper you find yourself at the back of the Hammock. The product is actually sewn backwards. We are so frustrated. So now we are going to have to send the product back and hope that the Seller will give us a product that is not defective so that we can continue to be excited about our trip. At this point due to the rip in the seam and the fact that the product is actually backwards and not functional I have given it a A rating of one because I like the idea of what the product is supposed to do. I will re-read this once I receive information from the seller and see what they are willing to do to make this right. I did read some negative reviews about seams and things going wrong but I was hoping that that would not happen to us. So I am adding an update but not changing my rating. I received the two replacement tent hammocks and when I put the first one up, discovered the same issues still existed. This company has very poor quality control. Even though I had asked for a replacement and provided three pictures with my review, they did not bother to check the new shipment product for defects. They have a manufacturing problem with their product that they are not bothering to address so I am done with this company. I will be asking for a full refund. The idea is wonderful so I am going with another company. This is the only reason I left the 1 rating. Please beware. I have had to drive 45 min each way , as I live in the country, just to return the tents 2 TIMES !!!!! Lost additional money and time just trying to give them the chance to make things right. Epic Fail. ... show more

  • Exactly what every scout needs.
Color: Orange
My son saved his money and bought it for scouts. He is so proud only himself and LOVES this hammock tent. The quality seems good. He sleeps great in it. Takes a bit to learn how to set up but once you do, it is a breeze and he sets it up himself. Not sure if he will ever use it on the ground but he likes having that option. ... show more

  • #1 we loved / #2 was defective #1 we loved / #2 was defective
Color: Green
my son bought one of these earlier in the year and loved it! So we bought another one for a camping trip we planned. When we went to use it we noticed small differences in our two hammocks, which made mine not as workable as his. First night was fine as we found ways to work around the small hiccups in design, but the second night the zipper completely gave way, exposing me to mosquitos and wild animals! Not the most comforting in the wild! We bought safety pins after our next 52miles when we came upon a town with a store and attempted to pin it to finish the trip... though we didn't trust it to hold. (never ended up using it pinned as we decided I might end up with a bed full of "needles"!) So our #1 purchase, we loved. Our #2 purchase was defective. Since its no longer usable (after only 2 nights of use) I tried to see about contacting the seller, but can't seem to find a way to do that. Amazon was kinds of enough to allow a return since it was defective but charged me a "restocking fee" (which I don't get since it will have to be thrown out!). I was hoping to get a full refund so I could try re-purchasing a different one and see if it is built like my son's so we could have 2 that we love! ... show more

  • Wish I had bought this years ago...
Color: Orange
So I've been a Scoutmaster for about 6 years now, camping once a month. I've gone through several tents and sleeping pads to find something halfway comfortable, yet light enough, for this 50 year old body of mine. I bought one of these for me and one for my son for a 4-day canoe trip up in Maine. Couldn't be more happy with it, and now I think I'm going to use this instead of tenting for campouts from now on. Wish I had bought this years ago. It is lightweight. It weighs less than my lightweight solo tent and pad combined. Very easy to set up, with neon green straps so you don't forget and leave them attached to the trees. Takes maybe 10 minutes at most. Easier than most tents, and most tents are easy. It is very sturdy, and stretches a lot. I was worried I was going to rip through it at first, but it is really strong. That makes it easy to get into, and I can even sit in it and reach the ground to put on shoes. The rain cover doesn't stretch as taut as it appears in the pics, but there's really nowhere for rain to pool so not a problem. And there's a couple of inch gap between the net and fly. It rained more than once on our trip and I stayed perfectly dry. It has guide lines off each side that you stake into the ground to keep it from swaying too much. Hooks inside for hanging a light, and a small pouch on the inside for you keys/phone. Only tricky part is zipping it up once you're inside. The stretching can make the zipping awkward, but not impossible. Best part is I had some of the most comfortable sleeps I've ever had on my multitude of campouts. It is really comfortable and conforms to your body. Haven't used it in cold weather yet. I know some people use pads just to insulate on the bottom. ... show more
