  • It works great
It's a nice, workable hot tent stove. It's my first one and I'm pretty happy with it. 2 items I did learn that are worth mentioning: - the glass window is kind of a gimmick, that mattered less than I thought it would. It covers up in an hour with sootof fire going inside. That said, its presence doesn't ruin functionality. Just don't think you're going to get much, if any, light from this. - While having fully open air vents creates a nice slow burning fire that lasts for a few hours on a full stack of hardwood inside, you will want to crack open the door if you want to cook on it. That added O2 is a must. All in all, I am happy with it. It's easy to move and store. All the chimney pipes fit in the emptied stove. Aside from making it lighter, I'm not sure what functions would justify paying more for one. ... show more

  • Surprisingly great quality. Great Stove!
The media could not be loaded. This thing is very well built. Drafts Well. Chimney pipe excellent quality. Comes with accessories needed. Make sure to burn outside a few times before using in your tent to burn the paint residue off. All in all. So far so good

  • Neat, tiny little wood stove
I grew up heating a house with a wood stove and until my wife said she wanted one of these I didn't even know they made tiny little wood stoves like this. I think a miniature wood stove is pretty neat. I couldn't believe how little the box was when it arrived but it did have some heft to it. When I too it out, I was glad to see there wasn't much to assembly. The metal "body" of the stove is all one piece. The foldable legs are already attached and ready to be unfolded and stand the stove up. The little side grill things are tedious to put on only because the nuts and washers are tiny and you're working inside the stove to hold them while you tighten the screw with the provided screwdriver. Nothing particularly hard, just challenging with older hands that are not sporting the dexterity they once did. The smoke pipe is super simple and the instructions tell you in which order to install them if you need them all. If you're just cooking on it outside, which is what my wife wanted it for, then you obviously won't need the 6ish feet of chimney pipe. But if you are using it in a tent that has a vent hole up high for it to pass through you might need all of the sections. There's one piece that allows for guy ropes to be tied to it to anchor it at three points to keep it stable. The side grills and the chimney pieces are it as far as assembly goes. The ash tray slides out of the bottom very easily. The bolt for the door latch is adjustable. Mine had to be loosened to make the latch work easily. I think they tightened it down hard to keep the door secure in shipping. In fact, they tightened it down enough to bend the latch some but that's not a big deal. It still works fine. My wife has cooked on it some. Of course the fire box is super small so you'll need miniature fire wood to match your miniature wood stove. This makes wood chopping and splitting so much easier than it used to be for the real one. But the fire is easy to get going in it. And it heats up nice and quick. The largest pot she has used on it was 2 quarts. It puts off a lot of heat and gets the food cooking or the water boiling pretty quick. She said about the same amount of time on a home stove top. She really likes the glass door so she can see the condition of the fire and the ambience it puts off. I never would have believed any of this had I not witnessed it. I even told her she was wasting her time with such a small thing. But she proved me wrong and enjoys using it and it's easy enough to throw in the back of the truck and take camping with you. ... show more

  • Well constructed
Got this for the spring for new to heat tent camping. It seems heavy, which is good so it won't tip over if bumped in tent. Well constructed (you do have to reach in holes to attach side racks with screws/bolts). It arrived with all the pipes inside stove which once used, I doubt I will put back in stove because of ashes & suet. Maybe an empty kitty litter pail will work for that + once stove is assembled (and admired) will not fit in box (top can't be closed), but found a tote box that works for that. I did see on internet reviews that pipes near stove can get red hot so going to be vigilant with it. Hope to see you out there! ... show more

  • High quality stove
This stove a bit on the heavy side, which shows the solid material. It also comes with a bunch of useful tools—gloves, a firewood hook, ground nails, and more—just like in the pictures. I really appreciate the thoughtful detail of using rock wool around the door for extra safety. The only parts that need a screwdriver are the permanent installations—the two shelves and the chimney base. It took me about 20 minutes from unboxing to getting everything set up. Once installed, you won’t need to take them off, and when not in use, it’s super easy to carry and store in a small space! ... show more
