After this first few weeks of putting the tenlamp G9 mixer/sound card through its paces, I can say it's a pretty capable piece of gear, save a rather irksome limitation. I'll start with the good points (and there are many!): • This unit is lightweight and relatively small, making it easy to transport. • It looks nice. The red accents at either side dress it up in a quiet way (see photo). It looks twice as nice when it's lit-up, though (see photo). • In addition to the mixer, itself, there's an assortment of cables and a User Manual in the box (see photo). • This mixer can be powered either via a USB-C power input port on the back, or rechargeable internal batteries. This makes it ultra-portable! A four-hour full charge should, per the Manual, provide 4 - 6 hours of battery-powered use. This is borne out in my experience with this unit, thus far. • The G9 is fairly intuitive to use, and, thanks to the very informative and fairly well-written User Manual, it seems like it might be a bit less "intimidating" to beginners. • The signal coming out of this board is clean, producing audio output that's clear and rich. • There's a good collection of both audio effects and sound effects built-in. • There are buttons (labeled A-B-C-D) on the right-hand keypad, representing 4 memory slots for what the Manual calls "voice modes" - parameter dumps of all the audio settings at that moment that get saved to the memory slot of your choice by long-pressing the corresponding button for 3 seconds. A short-press (~1 sec) will then recall all of the values stored in that slot until written over by another save at some point in the future. What could be better: • Despite the broad collection of input and output ports, there needs to be more. There should be at least one more ¼-inch jack, or, better yet, a couple of combo jacks (combination ¼" and XLR). Alleviating this limitation would open up so many more possibilities with respect to what can be connected without scrambling for an adapter. Overall, limitations aside, this mixer/sound card is a great choice for users creating podcasts and other streaming content, as well as for DJs. It's especially handy for those traveling light or setting up in small spaces, since it packs a lot into a small package.

Record your podcast easily with this straight-forward sound system. he multiple channels allow you to record voices while also filtering out background sounds. The sounds are clear cut and there is no issue with muted sounds. Gone are the days of room-sized soundboards. Gone are the days of studio sound. This little board takes a lot of work and keeps on giving! I didn’t expect this to do everything it does. I thought, for the price, it would just mix sound from a simple microphone. This works to clarify sounds, removing background noises while also recording. I have a Fairly low expectation for any pieces of sound equipment that cost as little as this. However, it doesn’t disappoint. I bought a nice microphone, thinking this was all I needed to produce good desk sound for my pod cast. The microphone didn’t cover the problems of sound being slightly muted and not easy to understand. With this neat little soundboard, my sound quality was just beautiful. What an improvement! I have been waiting for my podcast to sound professionally produced. Now it does, and from the comfort of my home office. Yes, this costs a few pennies, but it does a better job than I expected it to - so the cost is really nothing, as long as it sounds this great! I am using this with headphones, though. I believe this provides the best isolation of sound. One can adjust the sound in about 16 directions. I am not a sound expert, but I know the sound is much better WITH the soundboard. I am still discovering things I can do with the sound board. As I play the piano and electronic keyboards, I also have been exposed to recording music for over 50 years. My ears are tuned towards sound inconsistencies and this little soundboard delivers consistent quality sound.

The Tenlamp G9 live sound audio mixer is perfect for podcasts, streaming, or adding voice-over or other extras. As I am a novice at sound mixing, I managed to figure out the simple How-to’s, such as power on, and recharging, and after I began to tap the keys, which have emoji-type graphics under the button, and could hear the studio effects such as clapping, laughing, and studio audience sounds, and by pressing the buttons, the sounds played and I began to understand small bits of it. For those already skilled using audio mixers the Tenlamp will enhance the studio sound experience. Even in the early stages of my audio mixing journey, I’m enjoying the Tenlamp audio mixer. It is perfect for podcasters.

This is a great little beginner to intermediate board. It's certainly not pro-level, but it has enough to keep the starting podcaster occupied and to get their broadcasting up and going, and it is of good quality besides. I've always found a voice changing amusing, and this board is no exception! It's almost worth it just for that, if you don't already have one. I say almost, because the board is pricey for what it is, and I was a little shocked by what it's selling for. That said, I would definitely put it a step higher than most of the other beginner board competitors out there, and if you have the do-re-mi, this could be the board for you!

I’ve been using the tenlamp G9 for my live streams, and it has been a game-changer! The variety of vocal effects and sound modes available really add a professional touch to my content. The 4.5-inch display is a great addition, making it easy to adjust settings on the fly. My old friend came over, hooked up his laptop and a few speakers, started playing some old school music ( Because he's a DJ ). He messed around with all the different sounds and changing his voice for a while then said he could hook up his amp, run a cord outside and we could have an old fashion block party. Told him it had a battery inside, we didn't need to run a cord. However the lady diagonally across the street will call the police if she hears any music.
