After this first few weeks of putting the tenlamp G9 mixer/sound card through its paces, I can say it's a pretty capable piece of gear, save a rather irksome limitation. I'll start with the good points (and there are many!): • This unit is lightweight and relatively small, making it easy to transport. • It looks nice. The red accents at either side dress it up in a quiet way (see photo). It looks twice as nice when it's lit-up, though (see photo). • In addition to the mixer, itself, there's an assortment of cables and a User Manual in the box (see photo). • This mixer can be powered either via a USB-C power input port on the back, or rechargeable internal batteries. This makes it ultra-portable! A four-hour full charge should, per the Manual, provide 4 - 6 hours of battery-powered use. This is borne out in my experience with this unit, thus far. • The G9 is fairly intuitive to use, and, thanks to the very informative and fairly well-written User Manual, it seems like it might be a bit less "intimidating" to beginners. • The signal coming out of this board is clean, producing audio output that's clear and rich. • There's a good collection of both audio effects and sound effects built-in. • There are buttons (labeled A-B-C-D) on the right-hand keypad, representing 4 memory slots for what the Manual calls "voice modes" - parameter dumps of all the audio settings at that moment that get saved to the memory slot of your choice by long-pressing the corresponding button for 3 seconds. A short-press (~1 sec) will then recall all of the values stored in that slot until written over by another save at some point in the future. What could be better: • Despite the broad collection of input and output ports, there needs to be more. There should be at least one more ¼-inch jack, or, better yet, a couple of combo jacks (combination ¼" and XLR). Alleviating this limitation would open up so many more possibilities with respect to what can be connected without scrambling for an adapter. Overall, limitations aside, this mixer/sound card is a great choice for users creating podcasts and other streaming content, as well as for DJs. It's especially handy for those traveling light or setting up in small spaces, since it packs a lot into a small package.

This is a pretty good mix of features. It has some nice-to-haves, such as being battery-powered and rechargeable. I don't see this as a pro feature, but more of a gimmick. I can't really think of any time where I'd use this on battery, but your mileage may vary. It's really built for a podcasting rig, although it's advertised for gaming as well. I suppose you could use it for game streaming, too, though. It has a pair nice, large knobs, one controlling the microphone inputs, the other controlling the 'music' input. The 'music' input can be used for music, of course, for intros, background music, etc., but can also be used for a third microphone. It also includes some mic modification settings, such as denoise, autotune, reverb, and voice changing. These might be fun to play with for podcasts, but I don't see me using these often, as I primarily do video production with voiceovers. I'll see how things go over the next few months. It also includes some sound-effects, which again, would be more useful for podcasts or interviews. I do like the ability to save up to 4 presets on this. I wish the instructions had been more detailed, and either included as a digital copy, or a larger print. Even with reading glasses on, I could barely read the tiny paper that it came with. I'm going to have to spend a fair amount of time working with this to really get comfortable with all it's features and usefulness. Overall, though, this seems to be a pretty good starter mixer for podcasters and gaming streamers.

Record your podcast easily with this straight-forward sound system. he multiple channels allow you to record voices while also filtering out background sounds. The sounds are clear cut and there is no issue with muted sounds. Gone are the days of room-sized soundboards. Gone are the days of studio sound. This little board takes a lot of work and keeps on giving! I didn’t expect this to do everything it does. I thought, for the price, it would just mix sound from a simple microphone. This works to clarify sounds, removing background noises while also recording. I have a Fairly low expectation for any pieces of sound equipment that cost as little as this. However, it doesn’t disappoint. I bought a nice microphone, thinking this was all I needed to produce good desk sound for my pod cast. The microphone didn’t cover the problems of sound being slightly muted and not easy to understand. With this neat little soundboard, my sound quality was just beautiful. What an improvement! I have been waiting for my podcast to sound professionally produced. Now it does, and from the comfort of my home office. Yes, this costs a few pennies, but it does a better job than I expected it to - so the cost is really nothing, as long as it sounds this great! I am using this with headphones, though. I believe this provides the best isolation of sound. One can adjust the sound in about 16 directions. I am not a sound expert, but I know the sound is much better WITH the soundboard. I am still discovering things I can do with the sound board. As I play the piano and electronic keyboards, I also have been exposed to recording music for over 50 years. My ears are tuned towards sound inconsistencies and this little soundboard delivers consistent quality sound.

This is a great little beginner to intermediate board. It's certainly not pro-level, but it has enough to keep the starting podcaster occupied and to get their broadcasting up and going, and it is of good quality besides. I've always found a voice changing amusing, and this board is no exception! It's almost worth it just for that, if you don't already have one. I say almost, because the board is pricey for what it is, and I was a little shocked by what it's selling for. That said, I would definitely put it a step higher than most of the other beginner board competitors out there, and if you have the do-re-mi, this could be the board for you!

Well it's a nice board with cool looking light display that well help you see the board in a dimly lit room. It's got quite a few built in preset sound effects to goof around with as well as Ducking, Denoise, Auto Tune, Loopback, Viice Changer, Reverb, Mode as well as Bluetooth so you can connect to your Smartphone as well as your computer or tablet too. It's got a nice 4.5 inch raised monitor screen that gives you your auto tune note display on the top which is also pretty cool and had 4 seperate smaller montoring screens as well. You can also create and save 4 of your own sound effects that are listed as A, B,C and D under the built in preset sound effects which there are 12 to choose from. You have 2 headphone monitoring outputs a Dynamic mic input two 3.5mm mic inputs a 1/4 and 3.5mm instrument inputs. 3.5 mm live inputs and a 3.5 mm music input as well. Sound quality is decent and performs decent as well. Definitely for gaming or maybe even hooking up a karaoke to it and say that because there's no input or no 48-volt power supply for condenser XLR microphones which if it had one I would definitely have given it five stars but if you're a gamer in my opinion this would be perfect or even someone just beginning in audio mixing or recording this is a good start as I said it performs well but it might be just a little overpriced because it doesn't have the XLR condenser mic connection or the 48 volt phantom power if it did it would be a perfect little system.
