I have discovered tenergy batteries 7 years ago at a microcenter store. Since then they are my only battery choices. I have recently tried aaa and aa batteries from amazon high capacity rechargable batteries, they are working great as well but out of 8 batteries, 4 failed early like in 6 months by leaking or not holding a charge. These tenergy batteries will not leak, will not rust, will not fail and let you down. I even have tenergy batteries that are 4 years old, they are over their charging rate but still holding a charge and working fine in our remote controllers. I definitely recommend these tenergy brand rechargable batteries to anyone who has multi kids with multi devices that using batteries. Summary: These batteries seem to produce most of the time, above the rated capacity they are rated for. (Battery 1: 4698, Battery 2: 5113, Battery 3: 5120, Battery 4: 5011 mAh) I bought this under two points: 1) For -right now- they seem to mirror Amazon's return policy. 2) Out of the Tenergy products under "C sized" batteries, this is the only one I found that comes with a full 1 year warranty... the others are 90 days only from what I could tell. I ran this on my Liitokala Lii-500 charger, which can charge 2x C-sized batteries. With up to 1 amp of charge, for my tests I used 500 mA, the charging was done in a large garage where the temperature is ~72F (22C). On "Fast" mode, I got very random results for these batteries. For that reason.. I switched to "NOR" (normal) mode, which seems to discharge the battery fully, then recharge, and do the test. This is very time intensive.. and for this reason. I get a result after about 1.5 days for each pair. I am also buying a much more modern charger, called the "Xtar DRAGON VP4 Plus", which I will re-test again to see how they compare with newer technology. I purchased flameless candles that have a timer. I have it set to come on every night for about 5 hours. If I purchased regular batteries, I'd go through those very quickly. So, it made sense to use rechargeable batteries. My friend who got me into purchasing these candles advised me to get rechargeables. I haven't had the batteries long enough to see if they hold their charge over any length of time. And, if I find that they are not up to snuff, I'll come back and edit my review. Bought 4. Ran through 10+ charge discharge cycles. Still only3756,3865,3756 and 3967 ma. Claim to be 5,000 ma. so roughly 75% of claimed capacity. No idea of longevity. Wanted them to use as back-up power where access would be inconvenient. 75% of promised life isn't good enough. Don't buy deceptively advertised products. Keep them honest. ... show more

Great batteries. Still going strong after 3 years of use. I have tried the EBL batteries and after 24 to 36 charges, they stopped holding a charge. The Tenergy batteries that I bought at the same time are still going strong. I highly recommend them. They now have a Low Self Discharge version or LSD version that are also excellent batteries and they will keep there charge for several years. ... show more

Don't expect these batteries to come to you already charged. If you do, you may be disappointed. If they are like the ones I received, they will need to be charged and discharged several times before they will take a full charge. That means discharging them by use (after the initial charge), or letting your charger do the discharging, provided it has has that capability. I found that it took about half a dozen cycles to get these batteries fully charged, but it's worth the trouble. Once properly "broken in", they last a long time, even on the shelf. These have about twice the storage capacity of some (real, not fake) NiMH c-cells I bought in the late 90s. Those old batteries are still going strong, or fairly strong at least, though they run down a little more quickly than when new, which is why I bought the Tenergy Batteries ... show more

I bought these along with the charger/battery set. This set had the same issues. They were fine charging initially. One session in a portable am/fm radio that an elderly parent uses pretty constantly and the outer cover began to peel back. Was not sure they were safe to re-charge. Thanks to Amazon for taking them back beyond the 30 days, but with only a partial refund. ... show more

The "C" batteries arrived just about DOA. Before using I decided to test them with my battery tester. It indicated a weak battery. I then placed them in my battery charger. In 10 minutes the charger said that it was fully charged. I tested the batteries again, it was still the same indicating weak batteries. I tested 8 batteries, all were dead. I gave up at that point. I'm returning them. I am not sure who is at fault, the seller or the manufacturer. I have Tenergy AA batteries and they work fine every single one. ... show more
